I think some people would be happy to hear that Wacka Flocka Flame is quiting rap. I wont necessarily say i am one of them, but i know a lot of people said he brought more damage than good to hip hop. Even though i do not really check out for his songs, there are some of his songs i hear on radio and i at least nod my head to even though i know he has shallow lyrics. The way i see it is that he is doing him; he is from the south, and that is their style. If there is something you can't take away from him, it is the energy he puts in his songs. But for him to say he would rather work at Walmart than continue rapping, you would know that he is really tired of the game.
A lot of people talk about how shady the people in the industry are, and i guess that got to him. Read what he had to say below-
“Yup, absolutely true. I’m tired of going through what I go through, and punk asses always rain on my world. There’s so much different haters, fake smiles, different hugs,” he said. “I’d rather work at Walmart than rap, and that’s my word on God. Yup, I put that on Jesus Christ. I’m not lying or nothing. It’s something I could never explain to people because they could never understand it, ‘cause they not living the lifestyle. At the end of the day, the people who’s living the lifestyle could understand why I’m doing it.”
I always say that there is something i would never compromise even if i was going to be given a million dollars; my privacy. It is crazy when you can't just hang out like a normal person without people pointing at you or walking up to you when you are trying to hang out with your family in peace and quiet. And most of the time, you do not even know who is real and who is fake. I think it totally defeats a lot of chance incidence that happen in life that normal people appreciate; i mean chance meetings that can lead to a great relationship between you and someone. Once someone knows who you are, they can't look at you normally again, and their judgments become clouded. Imagine meeting a girl, and you ask to see her again. Once the media sees you with that girl, they would conclude that you have already started dating- not living room for nature to just take its place.
I guess his mom, who is also his manager is tired of the whole industry shit- read what she had to say below-
“He talking about quitting. He's sick of this. We all are,” she told RumorFix.com. “We're all disgusted with this stuff. You can't trust people."
But my question is- what would he do now? He hasn't been on the scene for more than 3 years, and he has just one official album. I don't think he has stacked up dough to make enough bread with. I might be wrong, but unless he already has another thriving business going, it can be risky just jumping ship like that.
