Self-Acclaimed King of The South, T.I is currently serving an 11 month bid for violation, but he took some time to write an open letter for his fans and people that have been there for him. Read the letter below-
"What up world? I appreciate the continued love and support that everyone has been giving me," he wrote July 13th. "This chapter in my story will soon be coming to an end and I will be back in the flesh with you sooner than later. In the meantime I want to give a special shout out to a few particular individuals that have been sending me letters, cards, comments, tweets and just overall holding me down. A little loyalty goes a long way with me...I don't do fake sh*t shawty. So I can't thank y'all enough for keeping it 1 thousand and as soon as I'm able I WILL RETURN THE FAVOR!!! And that's on PHIL!!! I love y'all and I'll see you in September." (Trap Muzik)
He also wrote another a couple of weeks ago-
"What up world? Been a minute. I'd like to thank you all for the thousands of letters, cards, books, pictures and words of encouragement. I'm truly grateful. I'm sure you already know I'm nearing the end of this chapter of my life, and looking forward to taking all of the things I've learned with me while leaving all the rest of the "BS" behind. I've been tuned in somewhat to what's been happening out there. I can't even begin to tell y'all how much being on the outside looking in, having to witness all that's going on (and not going on) in the game affects me. Not being able to do what I love especially. It's like a whole other sentence within itself. But I really do appreciate all the love, respect, shout outs and salutations during this very difficult period in my life. Everybody from da homies Weezy, Killa Mike, R. Rozay my lil bruh B.o.B, Terrence J (106 & Park) and my "durty" Nelly." (Trap Muzik)
I have to say i really felt bad when he went in the first time in 2009 for gun possession charges. He came out in 2010, and then went back in for probation violation...that made me mad. You, see, i had been following his career from when i heard Urban Legend in 2004. Since then, his albums have been shooting up the charts, till he had to go to jail in 2009. He was building a very strong follower-ship and i thought he was going to reach a point where he would be a black rapper selling as much as Eminem. So, it hurt me when the situation he got into ruined all that.
It's all good, he comes home in September, and he would definitely be a better man. He can start building his career again.
