Nas Looking at September For 10th Album Release

Nasty Nas is looking at September for the release of his 10th album. He formerly said it would be titled "Life is Good", but he is looking at a new title, claiming people are misunderstanding the concept behind the "life is good" title. I think it is cool that he is really progressing with the album, but i have to say i am not really feeling his new single- Nasty. I have been a nas fan for a minute, and i think he can come with something harder than that. He needs to drop something better than that.

The competition is crazy, and even though nas has his own market, he needs to drop something better than the Nasty track- this is just my opinion, you might not buy into it. You can read what he has to say about changing the album title-

"A lot of people around me didn't understand where I was coming from. They kinda thought I was saying, ‘Let's pop bottles, we're rich, everything's good.’ That's not where I was coming from," he said. "So there's another title that came, that kind of fits a little better, and you might hear about that. There might be a change coming real soon."

He also talks about his three years hiatus between 2008 (Untitled) and now, 2011. Well, i wouldn't call it an hiatus, because he was around through out last year with singles from the collabo album he dropped with Damian Marley- Distant Relatives. And he toured through the better part of 2010. Anyway, Funk Master Flex asked him about the hiatus, and this is what he said.

“I mean, it was just regular. It’s regular going through taking your breaks and everything. You’ve got to take breaks for life. You’ve got to experience some life so you can come back and talk about it,” he said. “You need to take time, step back from it sometimes so you can really reflect on everything around you, what’s going on with you, where to go, what kind of moves you want to make. I had to really think it out. I had to take that time out, yeah.”
