Highest Selling Rap Albums of the Week

Thanks to a certain number of streams now counting as album sales, Drake continues to dominate on the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart. His Views album sold 37,555 copies this week to retain its position as the highest selling rap album of the week.

After a full seven days in stores, Joe Budden's new album, Rage & the Machine sold 12, 281 copies first week. I had earlier predicted it would sell between 12-15k first week, so I am on point with this one.

The beef between Game and Meek Mill started several weeks ago, when Game dissed Meek Mill out of the blue at one of his shows. He followed that up with a diss record titled 92 Bars aimed at Meek, which ended up on Game's latest album, 1992. Meek hit back with his own diss track with help from Omelly, Pakbar, and Beanie Sigel. Then Game hit back with a response diss record to that titled Pest Conrol. Now, the two rappers have dropped individual projects (Game with 1992; and Meek Mill with his commercial mixtape, Dreamchasers 4). In a Snapchat video from yesterday, Rick Ross claims he has spoken to Game and the beef between Meek and Game is official over.

Things are changing, and people are becoming more liberal towards the LGBT community in Hip Hop. Of cos, there is still no openly gay male rapper doing rap music, but there are a couple of gay female rappers that are doing their thing right now.

Although many suspect, it has never been confirmed that Queen Latifah is a lesbian, so she isn't on this list. The three that made this list have proudly embraced their sexuality, and the world has accepted them that way. Below are the three hottest lesbian and bisexual rappers in Hip Hop.

Yea, the president of the United States of America, Barack Obama listens to rap music. In a recent interview on Sway in the Morning show, Sway asked him who some of his favorite Hip Hop artists are, and he said...

There are three major things that can come between friends...money, religion, and women. According to TMZ, former Remy Boyz member, P-Dice is suing Fetty Wap for a whooping $7 million dollars in damages. Dice claims his contribution to Fetty Wap's hit song, 679 was one of the elements that led to the success of the song and eventually to the success of Fetty Wap's self titled album which has gone on to sell over a million copies so far.

The original version of the song had P-Dice on it (along with Monty and Fetty Wap), and P-Dice was also in the video of the song. But later on, when Dice and Fetty Wap had a falling out, Fetty decided to remove P-Dice's verse from the version of the song that made it on his album, thereby cutting off Dice from receiving the percentage of royalties the two had verbally agreed on.

This is a little bit more than just a mixtape, cos even though it is available for free streaming on places like Datpiff.com, it is also sold on Apple's iTunes. This is a commercial mixtape and I am going to predict what it would sell in its first week in stores.

It has just been confirmed that New Orleans rapper, Kevin Gates is going to jail for 6 months, for a 2015 incidence where he kicked a female fan in the chest while she tried to reach for his shorts during a show in Lakeland, Florida.

"Kevin Gates was found guilty to battery in Polk County, Florida, on Wednesday (Oct. 26) after he was seen kicking a female fan during a concert in the city of Lakeland last year.

The judge sentenced Gates to 180 days in Polk County jail, with credit for any time served, and fines and court costs, WFLA reports. He was convicted by a jury of six women after one day of testimony.
Miranda Dixon, 18, admitted to having tugged on Gates' pants during the concert at Rumor's Nite Club on Aug. 28, 2015. She said during the trail, "I was trying to get his attention for my friend."

Trick Daddy Says Black Women Might Become Useless Soon

Yea, that's according to Miami rap veteran, Trick Daddy. In an Instagram video he uploaded some hours ago, the 43 year old rapper spoke on Spanish girls and white girls getting finer, and that if they learn how to fry chicken, black women would be useless. A lot of black American women are currently raining insults on Trick Daddy on Twitter right now.

After a full seven days in stores, Gucci Mane's 10th studio album, Woptober sold 12,326 copies first week. This is his second album this year, and he is currently working on dropping another one before the year runs out.

Drake is Dropping a New Album (More Life) in December

There is not much news about it yet, but Drake let the world know via Instagram yesterday that he is dropping a new project in December, titled More Life. His album, Views still has a strong buzz, and has been selling a quarter of a million monthly for a while now. So, I guess he wants to capitalize off that buzz. Drake sells at least half a million first week with all his albums, so why not drop a new one and rake in some more cash. Views still sells 40-50k copies weekly, constantly.

Official First Week Sales of Game's "1992" Album

After a full week in stores, Game new album, 1992 sold 31,184 copies first week. I was expecting it to sell between 40-55k first week, but this is not so bad for an indie album that actually started out as a mixtape. Congrats to Game on another dope album. I would give it a 4 out of 5 in rating. It's almost as good as his last album, The Documentary 2.

Russell Crowe Kicks Azealia Banks out of His Hotel Suite

I don't think I have read any news about this chick that doesn't have drama attached to it in some way or the other. I confess, I don't even know the title of any of her songs. She is always playing 'victim' and hates everyone. In the latest news, a party was held Saturday night (in a hotel suite) by ace Hollywood actor, Russell Crowe, and she (Azealia Banks) happened to be RZA's guest at the party. Things got a little bit out of control, and Russell had to kick Miss Banks out.

This is according to TMZ...read their breakdown of what allegedly happened below.

"Russell Crowe bounced rapper Azealia Banks out of his hotel suite when she turned into the "plus one" from hell and threatened to cut his guests and watch them bleed ... according to multiple witnesses.

The bizarre incident went down Saturday night at Russell's room at a Bev Hills hotel, where he'd invited about 10 people over to have dinner and listen to music. One of his guests was RZA, who brought Azealia along.

According to eyewitness accounts the trouble started when Azealia laughed out loud at Russell's music selection, and then called him and at least one other guest, "boring white men." We're told a female guest jumped to Russell's defense and suggested Banks pipe down.

Death is something most of us don't like to talk about or even think about, but Philadelphia rap legend, Beanie Sigel doesn't mind talking about it. In fact, he even specified that he might have just about 23 years left on Earth. Hmm!

There is an ongoing beef with the new face of Philly, Meek Mill, and the old rapper that put Philly on the map, Beanie Sigel. And during his recent interview on Tax Season, Sigel spoke on not having time for bullshitting cos he has limited time left on Earth.

I am going to do what I love to do when a new rap album drops, or is about to drop; I am going to try and predict what Gucci Mane's 10th album, Woptober would sell in its first week in stores.

If you haven't watched the DVD, The Secret, I am sure you have at least heard of The Law of Attraction one way or the other. It appears, unknowingly, California rapper, Game used the law of attraction to attract the success he is now enjoying.
