Dave East Signs Deal with Def Jam

New York rapper, Dave East just signed a deal with Def Jam Records. Nas signed him two years ago to his Mass Appeal records, but now he is signed to Def Jam Records. I guess he feels the major label can take him where he wants to go faster than Mass Appeal could. He is probably still signed to Mass Appeal, but with a joint deal with Def Jam. I wish him all the best.

Beanie Sigel Says This is the Real Reason Behind the Drake and Meek Mill Beef

Shit just keeps getting nastier by the minute with this whole Meek Mill and Game beef. Now, it has turned to Philly dudes going at themselves. Just last week, Meek Mill and Beanie Sigel were on a song together, dissing Game. And after Beans got knocked out by a Meek Mill associate cos he told Game he helped write Meek Mill's verse on the diss song aimed at Game, Beans is talking dirty about Meek in a recent interview. During the course of the interview, he said he feels the reason Meek Mill started the beef with Drake wasn't because he found out Drake was using ghostwriters, but because...

This Meek Mill and Game beef seem to be branching out to other people super fast. In the beginning, it was Game with Sean Kingston and Meek Mill, then Takbar, Omelly, and Beanie Sigel got into the picture. And then Meek Mill and his boys started beefing with Beanie Sigel, after just working with him to go against The Game. Then Drag-On comes out of retirement to diss Game. And then Meek Mill's friend, Teefy Bey knocked out Beanie Sigel at the Bad Boy Reunion stop at Philly. After that, Game's manager, Wack 100 released a video on Youtube condemning the act, and reminding Meek Mill's Philly goons that their man, Meek was now living in L.A, and you know Wack and Game run the streets of L.A. And now, somehow, the self proclaimed king of Brooklyn, Maino has gotten into the mix.

From the series of Instagram back and forth comments from Wack 100 and Maino below, it appears Wack was planning to do something to Meek Mill or one of his goons and maybe Maino had prior knowledge of it and leaked it to Meek and them. Or maybe something about Meek trying to stop Game from shooting the Pest Control video in Brooklyn. That is my guess, but all I could really get from the conversation between the two men was that Wack is accusing Maino of playing two sides.

First Week Sales Prediction of Game's "1992" Album

It's still two weeks away, but I just decided to do this because of the buzz Game has right now with the whole Meek Mill beef and all. So, Game is about to drop his 7th studio album (1992), and I want to predict what it would sell in its first week out. His last album was The Documentary 2, which was released in two parts, a week apart. The first disc sold 95,000 copies first week, and the second disc sold 48,000 copies first week. These were impressive numbers, considering he is now an independent artist, with distribution of his Blood Money Entertainment projects via eOne Music.

Game's Manager (Wack 100) Speaks on Beanie Sigel Getting Knocked Out by Meek Mill's Affiliate

So, this is how it went. Game dissed Meek Mill on 92 Bars, Meek Mill went and got Takbar, Omelly, and Beanie Sigel on a reply diss track to Game. Game hit all of them back with Pest Control. Beanie Sigel called up Game after that and they settled their differences. But, it appeared Beans told Game he was just in the studio to help with Omelly's lyrics. Meek Mill and his boys didn't like that, and last week, at the Philly stop of the Bad Boy Reunion tour, Teefy Bay (a Meek Mill affiliate) went backstage and knoked Beanie Sigel out cold. Beans has been quiet on the issue since then, but Game's manager, Wack 100 isn't feeling the move by Meek Mill and his boys, and he feels they shouldn't have knocked out a Philly legend like that.

Game Claims he Made $7 Million From His Weed Dispensary in 9 Months

Weed is systematically being legalized in America, and I am sure in 5 years time, Marijuana would be legal in all states in America. People are now investing in weed dispensaries legally, and making cool cash from selling weed. One of those people is California rapper, Game. Last week Friday, he was on Power 105.1 radio for an interview, and he was telling the Breakfast Club crew to invest in the legal weed business early, and he guarantees that they would be smiling to the bank in a few years.

Drake's 'Views' Album Becomes the First Album to Achieve 1 Billion Streams on Apple Music

Drizzy Drake keeps winning. His fourth album, Views just became the first album to achieve 1 billion streams on Apple Music. Whoa! One billion streams? Congrats to Drake. He let the world know this on his Instagram page yesterday. That's a picture of him below with his plaque from Apple, and some of the execs from Apple.

Hmm! This whole beef with Meek Mill and Game is going off in the wrong direction; I thought it would stay on wax. So, this is what happened. After Game dissed Meek Mill on 92 Bars, Meek went and got his cousin, Omelly, and another rapper named Takbar to diss Game using Young M.A's OOOUUU instrumental. Beanie Sigel was invited to the studio to help them with the diss track and also had 2-3 lines on the track. Game responds to their diss track in 48 hours with Pest Control, and dissed, Tak, Meek, Omelly, and Beanie Sigel. Beanie calls up Game after the song drops, and says he made a mistake jumping into the beef, that he only went to help them with some lyrics. He also let the whole world know (through a radio interview) that he wrote some lyrics for Meek Mill on the diss track. Meek Mill didn't like that, and he got one of his affiliates, Teefy Bey to beat up Beanie Sigel at a Bad Boy Reunion concert in Philly three nights ago.

Even though Mac Miller is out with a new album, Drake still dominates with his Views album. Views is the highest selling rap album in America this week. It sold 51,732 copies this week.

This is the Internet age, where information flies around with the speed of light. Still on the Meek Mill and Game beef, a new revelation just hit the world wide web. On an interview Beanie Sigel did two days ago, he kind of implied that he helped Meek Mill out with some lyrics on the OOOUUU Remix, which was a diss track aimed at Game, and which had Meek Mill, Beanie Sigel, Omelly, and Pakbar on it.

Hmm! A bit hard to believe, right? Considering the fact that last year, Meek Mill went all out to expose Drake for using ghostwriters, making it seem like a big No for any rapper to consider using ghostwriters. Before I go on, let me transcribe part of the Beanie Sigel interview and let you guys tell me what you think.

Mysonne Comments on Game and Meek Mill Beef

In a recent interview with Allhiphop.com, New York rapper, Mysonne spoke on the ongoing beef between Meek Mill, and Game. His wish is that it stays on wax and doesn't spill into the streets. Read his words below.

I love the competition, the battle, the bars, but when it turns into beef, we all know how these kinds of things play out. Drag-On Disses Game with a Freestyle

You remember Drag-On from the Ruff Ryderz days with DMX? Yea, he's back for Game's head cos Game mentioned him on 92 Bars, the diss aimed at Meek Mill. The line that had Drag-On in it from Game's diss song was- "I'm the old DMX, you niggas Drag-On." I guess Drag-On felt that line was belittling and he recorded a freestyle on video and uploaded it on Youtube earlier today. I am a Game fan fan, but I got to say this is flames!

Game and Manager Say They Had to Stop Their People From Attacking Sean Kingston

Game and his manager, Wack 100 revealed in a recent interview that they were getting calls from real hood people that respected them and wanted to get the go ahead to attack Sean Kingston, but that they told the guys to back down. In case you don't know, there is an ongoing beef between Game on one side, against Meek Mill and Sean Kingston on the other side. Sean Kingston got robbed at a club in L.A a couple of months ago and called Game saying Meek Mill had told him that Game's people were the ones behind the robbery. So, Game blasted the two of them on Instagram and on a diss track, while Sean Kingston went on an Instagram rant, saying all sorts of disrespectful things about Game.

When I saw those videos where Kingston was running his mouth, I was like 'this dude doesn't now what he is getting himself into.' Apparently, Game and his manager, Wack 100 had to stop people from going at Sean Kingston and probably attacking him. They said multiple guys sent them pictures from the front of Sean Kingston's house, waiting for the go ahead from Game and Wack.

Official First Week Sales of Mac Miller's The Divine Feminine Album

Mac Miller dropped his fourth album, The Divine Feminine last week Friday, and after a full week in stores, it sold (streams plus physical copies sales) 49,247 copies. Well, that's not so bad, even though his three previous albums sold more than this in their first week of release.

Game is currently beefing with Meek Mill, and he has been making the news a lot lately. Pardon me if I have been blogging too much about The Game, it's just cos the news surrounding him seems to be the most interesting right now. Anyway, people have been saying Game can no longer go to Philadelphia (Philly) because of his beef with Meek, but he proved them wrong by going there yesterday night.

Nas Names the Two Rappers He Wished He Had Worked With

Nas and NBA player, Kevin Durant were on the show, Any Given Wednesday yesterday, and the host (Bill Simmons) was throwing quick questions at them. One of the questions thrown at Nas was which rapper he wishes he had collaborated with, and he answered with...

"There's two. The ones I was naming in the whole show; Tupac and Biggie. Me and Biggie almost worked on his first record. And by the time he was working on the second album, our competition thing had grown so much that we just stayed away from each other. And with Tupac, right before he passed away, we talked about getting together and doing something. So, I wish...I wish it happened."

AR-AB Says He Hopes the Game and Meek Mill Beef Doesn't Get Violent

Right now, what is buzzing in the hip hop world is the beef between Meek Mill and Game. Meek Mill is from Philly, and ThisIs50.com got another Philly rapper for an interview three days ago, and they asked him what he feels about the beef, and he was like...

"It's two different coast...L.A, there's real dudes out there, there's real killers out there. A lot of them workout, get buff, wanna fight. You talk about Philly, everything is the gun. I don't give a fuck...it's like, you probably never get a fight out of a Philly nigga. They gon bring the gun. Everything is the gun in Philly. Straight to the gun...If you got to Philly, a year and the half, you not gon' see one fight. Everything is straight to the gun" (This Is 50 Interview)

In the ongoing beef between Meek Mill and Game, Meek has gotten Omelly, Pak, and Beanie Sigel to help him diss Game, I have a strong feeling Nicki Minaj might jump in, and diss Game soon. I swear, that would make things really interesting. Yea, she has stayed out of her man's pasts beefs, but Game has been bringing up her name a lot in his diss records and on Instagram, I feel she might just drop a diss aimed at Game.

"And I've been wanting to give Nicki this pool stick/so tell your lil' vivrant thing come fuck with q-tip." That was Game on his diss song, 92 Bars, indirectly saying he wants to have sex with Meek Mill's girl, Nicki Minaj. He also mentioned Nicki a second time on the song, when he rapped- "Nicki won't get no sleep, I'm coming through at 4 a.m, four deep, to leave his dead body on soaked sheets. It could happen low-key. You better have Ross call me or you gon' be eye-level with a roach feet."

R.I.P Shawty Lo

Atlanta rapper, Shawty Lo (real name- Carlos Walker) passed away around 2 a.m yesterday morning, after being involved in a single car accident. He was 40 years old. May his soul rest in peace.

I remember a couple of years ago when he was trying to shoot a reality TV show with his 10 babymamas and 11 children. My condolence to his entire family.

New Music: Game- Pest Control (Meek Mill Diss)

Yesterday when I heard the Meek Mill diss song (OOOUUU Remix) aimed at Game, I just smiled. I smiled cos It was hot, and I knew it would make Game go harder at Meek. Starting beef with Game is like trying to fight Steven Seagal...You can't beat him. Within 24 hours, Game got in the studio and recorded a response to Meek's diss, and he did it all by himself, as opposed to Meek getting Pak, Beanie Sigel, and Omelly. And when these guys hear this song, get angry and record individual diss songs aimed at Game, they would just be helping achieve his agenda...BUZZ!!!

A few months ago, Game dropped a song called Sauce where he claimed to have slept with (but not in those words) three Kardashians. People started speculating, trying to guess who the Kardashians were. He dated Kim Kardashian briefly back in the day, so that was one Kardashian, but who were the other two? Game made it known on the Wendy Williams show this morning. Of course he didn't just spit out; Wendy stylishly got it out of him.
