Keyshia Cole released her 5th album last week Monday, and after one week in stores, Woman To Woman sold 96,000 copies. That's not too bad. Her last album (Calling All Hearts) sold 128,000 copies first week two years ago, so these numbers are not that bad. Generally speaking, R&B albums have not been doing so good lately.
Check out the album tracklist below-
1. “Enough of No Love” feat. Lil Wayne
2. “Zero” feat. Meek Mill
3. “Missing Me”
4. “Trust and Believe”
5. “Get It Right”
6. “Woman to Woman” feat. Ashanti
7. “Wonderland” feat. Elijah Blake
8. “I Choose You”
9. “Stubborn”
10. “Hey Sexy”

50 Cent Says He Would End French Montana's Career
So, some weeks ago, during an interview, French Montana was speaking on the disadvantages of building a career off of beefing. He then went on to use 50 Cent's career as an example; how 50 went from selling 10 million copies with an album, to 4 years later, only selling 500k copies. 50 Cent reacted to that, and got on twitter and started tweeting negative @ French...talking about how Frenchie didn't have any career yet, and didn't have any rights to criticize his own career.
50 hasn't stopped taunting French Montana since then; I guess it hit 50 below the belt...the truth is beater. 50 Cent should remember that he did similar stuffs at the beginning of his career. Anyway, 50 just dropped a successful single, My Life, (with Eminem and Adam Levine) and as a way to celebrate, he thought it would be cool to taunt French Montana some more.
"He runs his mouth prematurely, he's not ready to compete on any level with me," Fif said in an interview. "When I drop a record and it becomes the number one selling record in twelve hours, after you saying that, I think you should be quiet a little bit. You should hear the crickets now. So moving forward, I'll put him completely out of business. I'll put him out of business off the block, the corner -- he only had one song and you didn't even care about it because it was him, it had four other people on it. You don't got to pick a side -- my run itself will pick a side. That's your new Ja Rule right now. He's going to be your new Ja Rule." (Peter Parker)
50 Cents' new single is dope, but it definitely is successful cos he has Eminem and Adam Levine on it. So, who is he to taunt French Montana of having 3 people on his song. 50's last single was with Alicia Keys and Dr. Dre, and it went no where. I know French Montana is not anywhere near 50 when it comes to success or album sales, but i guess Karma is a bitch. 50 came in the game, and felt he had to pull every other rapper down. There is no rapper on the scene that 50 hasn't dissed or attacked verbally at some point in his career.

And about the Ja Rule ish, I don't think 50 has the pull to destroy anyone's career at this point. Back when he was selling diamond with his first two albums, he went in the building and told them to push Styles P's album back, or he would leave Interscope Records. Those days are gone...he doesn't have that power no more. He was able to hurt Ja Rule's career cos he was the hottest thing back in 2003, and he also had the help of Busta Rhymes, Dr. Dre, Eminem and the whole G-Unit going at Ja Rule. People were already getting tired of Ja Rule at the point, so it is not like he sledge hammered Jarule's career at its pinnacle. But I know one thing he did tho...he took the stand and testified in court to get Irving Lorenzo (Irv Gotti- founder of Murder Inc and Ja's boss) and Kenneth Supreme McGriff (80s/90s legendary drug kingpin and friends' of Jarule and his boss) convicted.
Eve Remembers Time With Dr. Dre At Aftermath Records
For the people that don't know, Eve was signed to Dr. Dre's Aftermath Records back in 1998 when Dre was just starting out the label. She was going by Eve Of Destruction back then, but she got dropped from the label before anything could come out of her deal. She dropped the "...Of Destruction" from her name, and got signed to Ruff Ryderz/Interscope. She blew up with her "What You Want" single, and she became the hottest female rapper in the 1999. She went on to have a very successful rap career. In a recent interview, she recalls her beginning-
"Aftermath was my first home, with Dr. Dre," Eve reminded viewers when she appeared on Wednesday's "RapFix Live." "But me and Dre just couldn't get along. ... I'm a strong chick and I don't like being told what to do. I don't care if you're the best at what you do. Dre just knows how to push your buttons, but I just have to say every time he pushed my buttons, he got the best out of me. So he knew what he was doin'.I can't remember exactly what record, but he made me say one word over, like 45 times. I swear to God; I'm not lying," she said anecdotally. "He wouldn't let me out of the studio. I kicked the mic down and threw a bottle at the glass, and after I did all that, I said it the right way and he let me out." (MTV)

Soundscan started tracking album sales in 1991, and since then, only 20 albums had gone Diamond (selling over 10 million copies), until Adele joined the team, and became the 21st on the list recently, with her "21" album. Big ups to Eminem for representing for Hip-Hop, and appearing twice on the list. I think the dude is really a phenomenon.
Game Gets Himself A Bugatti Veyron As Birthday Gift
Today is Game's 33rd birthday- Happy Birthday to The Game. But, what's news about it is that he just bought himself a black and yellow coloured Bugatti Veyron ($2 million) . I think that is big deal for Game, cos he is really not on the success level of a Kanye West, or a 50 Cent, or a Jay-Z...the people I mentioned can buy a 2 million dollar car and not feel it cos they are individually worth over $100 million.
Game has a new show airing on cable network channel, VH 1, ttitled Marrying The Game (with his Fiancée) and he said they pitched in for him to get the Bugatti. I think maybe they paid some part of the money for the car...maybe part of his salary. I know there is way bigger money in TV than the music business, so I'm sure Game is getting a lot of money for this show. Check out his tweet on the car below-
Thanks to @vh1music for pitching in on the Bugatti for my bday.... That reality show $$$ is wonderful.
You can see a pic of him lying on the ground close to the Bugatti like he's dead...that's to stress the fact that he never thought he would be able to afford a $2 million dollar car. I'm very sure his arch nemesis, 50 Cent wont be very happy right now.

Game Responds To 50 Cent Diss
It seems that the 50 Cent and Game beef will never end; I think I am about tired of anything related to this beef right now. I was riding with Game all the way back in 2005, till 2008, but it seems even Game has lost it. He is just all over the place, and almost has no identity right now. Anyway, in 50 Cents recent song titled My Life (feat. Adam Levine and Eminem), he dissed Game and Young Buck. Check out some lines from the line below-
Yeah, 03, I went from back filthy to filthy rich
Man, the emotions change so I can never trust a bitch
I tried to help niggas get on, they turned around and spit
Right in my face, so Game and Buck, both can suck a dick
Now when you hear 'em it may sound like it's some other shit
Cause I'm not writing anymore, they not making hits
I ain't riding with Game like I used to, but I have to say that 50 Cent did help Game get popular, but he definitely didn't "make" Game. If he did, why was Game way more successful than 50's foot soldiers (Tony Yayo, Lloyd Banks and Buck). Game has always had talent, and Dr Dre's guidance, and some of 50's catchy hooks definitely helped out. But Game has had some other hits since he left G-Unit in 2005. And for the record, 50 Cent wrote hooks (Choruses) for him on The Documentary songs- Higher, Hate It Or Love It, How We Do, and West-side Story. That's 4 songs in an 18 track classic album. 50 Cent wrote the hooks, he definitely didn't write the verses...there is a big difference there, and people should know that.
Below is Game's response to the diss-
"Maybe he got something he wants to tell us, you know, about his secret life," Game said in response to 50's "My Life" reference. "Ain't nobody worried about 50. Let's just ask the people. That's really the best he can do. You know what I'm saying? Buck is in jail, his situation is that, he can't defend himself from there. ... Every now and again, you get these zombie movies where no matter how many times you shoot them, they keep [getting back up]. ... My last freestyle was probably '500 Bars' and like 26 minutes long. The freestyle that killed G-Unit, the whole staff, record label, the clothes is '300 Bars' and I might have to go and double that up and just really say everything I want to say. There's more to say." (Power 106)

Rap Albums On Billboard Chart
There is a general boost in sales on the chart this week; i guess it's because of the Thanksgiving holiday of last week. Kendrick Lamar's "Good Kid, M.A.A.D City" sold 10k copies more than it did last week; the album sold an impressive 49,000 copies this week, and now totals at 428,000 copies sold. Gold is piece of cake for it right now, Platinum status is the destination.Nicki Minaj sold 36,000 copies of her Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded- The Re-Up album in its first week out. Her main purpose of repackaging the album with 8 new tracks was probably cos the new sales would be added to the original album, and probably get it to Platinum status. Right now, the album is now at a total of 727,000 copies sold.
2 Chainz sold 22, 000 copies of his Based On A T.R.U Story album this week, and now stands at a grand total of 405,000. Meek Mill's Dreams & Nightmares album sold 18,000 copies, and is now at a total of 245,000. Cee Lo Green's Cee Lo's Magic Moment album sold 11,000 copies this week, and is now at 26,000.
Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are now at 143,000 sold with their The Heist album, after selling 8,900 copies this week. Nas's Life Is Good album sold 6,400 copies this week, and is now at 333,000 total.
Birdman Speaks On YMCMB Empire
In a recent interview, Birdman, a.k.a Baby, real name Bryan Williams spoke on the dozens of artists he has under his label, Cash Money Records, and how tough it is to keep, consistently dropping successful albums from his over 4 dozen artists signed and affiliated with the label.
Below is what he had to say about this in a recent interview with MTV-

I think they give too much focus to the biggest acts on the label- Wayne, Drake, Tyga and Nicki Minaj. I was glad when I saw Ace Hood's new video with Trey Songz (I Need Your Love) on MTV yesterday; I think Ace has really developed himself (skill-wise) through the years, and can become bigger than he currently is in years to come. But I think the label also has to get out an album by Cory Gunz; he is talented, and has a lil hype right now.
Young Money Cash Money Billionaires (YCMB) are running things right now, but they definitely need to work on the other acts on the roaster for future purposes.
Below is what he had to say about this in a recent interview with MTV-

"Right now, as we stand, we have [48 acts] between Young Money, Cash Money, We the Best...
The goal is to keep developing and keep putting out, so to do that we have to keep buckling down, grindin' hard and stayin' focused. And that's a big challenge, to put a hundred out...
Everybody that's doin' this — outside of who we done rocked with — is really an enemy to me. So if you ain't on the team, I'm after your head. If you're doin' what we're doin'. We wanna do the most numbers every year, each year, the most digital numbers. That's what we 'bout, if you doin' this music and you ain't rockin' with us, you're on the menu so that's just what it is."
So, off the top of my head, I know he has Lil Wayne, Drake, Mack Maine, Gudda Gudda, Nicki Minaj, Cory Gunz, Lil Twist and Tyga under Young Money (which is Wayne's label under cash money); then he has G Malone, Busta Rhymes, Bow Wow, T- Pain, and Kevin Rudolf under Cash Money; and then the partnership with We The Best gives him DJ Khaled and Ace Hood under his label. That's 15 from the top of my head, but ofcos they are more. My question is how many of these acts is he focusing on?

M.O.P's Billy Danze Names His Top 5 Favourite Rappers Dead Or Alive
M.O.P is a legendary rap duo consisting of Lil Fame and Billy Danze who started out around the mid 90s. In a recent interview, one half of the rap group, Billy Danze let the world know who his top 5 favourite rappers dead or alive are. Check them out below.
This is definitely going to start off with M.O.P., first off. There's no way you can't put M.O.P. in there. No explanation needed.
There's a dude that nobody probably knows of. I need you to go and look this dude up. His name is Mr. Mike. I believe he's from Texas. He had an album called Wicked Wayz back in 1997 I believe. I don't think he ever put out another album but Mr. Mike? A beast. At that time it was kind of hard for the South to get any light but when I tell you he used to wrap circles around the top guy at that time. The dude is bananas. His name is Mr. Mike. It's crazy.
Bun B is kinda hot. He's always carried that flag for Houston for years. A lot of people respect Bun B and he goes hard on the track. Bun B is fire, so you can't take that away from him.
One of my favorites, Raekwon, has to be in there. I think Raekwon is one of the dopest emcees to ever grip a mic. A lot of people know but there's still a lot of people that don't know. When we talk about dope emcees, we should really be talking about dope emcees. Like when we came out, rapping was more about your lyrics or your style alone. Raekwon actually had both. A lot of people didn't have that. A lot of people would have style but no lyrics. Some people would have lyrics but no style. Raekwon had both and he had that whole street feel. Raekwon is another one.
We can't forget about Guru. Let me tell you something. His voice alone? I wish I had that man's voice. His voice alone was bananas. He never changed his voice. You never heard him get on a record and chance his voice. The same way he talked to you was the same way he rapped. He would preach to you, [but didn't] try to make you feel like he was smarter than you like a lot of rappers do. Guru would preach to you and teach you things that kids today don't even understand. He was a sharp dude. This dude would glow on stage. I was blessed to tour and work with him. This dude was special. Guru would be my top pick. (sohh.com)

Official First Week Sales Of Rihanna's "Unapologetic" Album: Rihanna's First Number 1.
This is Rihanna's 7th album in 7 years, and is her first album to debut at number 1. on the Billboard top 200 album chart in the U.S. The album (Unapologetic) sold 238,000 copies in its first week in stores. Congratulations to Rihanna and her team, it's a long time coming. I guess consistency and hard work pays off.
I really don't see the big deal with how people are making it to seem like having a number 1. album is a milestone achievement for her. Rihanna has been a success story since she dropped her first album (Music Of The Sun) in 2005. This is her highest first week sales so far. Her last two albums, Talk That Talk (2011) & Loud (2010), sold 198k and 207k first week respectively.

1. “Fresh Out the Runway”
2. “Diamonds”
3. “Numb” feat. Eminem
4. “Pour It Up”
5. “Loveeeeeee Song” feat. Future
6. “Jump”
7. “Right Now”
8. “What Now”
9. “Stay” feat. Mikky Ekko
10. “Nobodies Business” feat. Chris Brown

Freeway Speaks On His Struggle With Rap As A Muslim
Freeway, in a recent interview spoke on how rap music is considered Haraam (sinful) by the Islamic religion, and that as a Muslim, he has a tough inner battle with continuing with the kind of music he makes. But he says he has to keep doing it to feed his family. Islam is a very prominent religion practised in Philadelphia U.S.A, and that's Freeway's home-town.
"I never really, really stopped [making music]," he said. "I'm Muslim…and it's a difference of opinion if music is haraam or not, and haraam is something that's not lawful [in sharia], and the majority of the scholars agree that music is haraam. Me being a Muslim and trying to be a good Muslim, I was between should I do it or not and should I keep going with the music. It's definitely something I have a passion for, I'm good at and it's how I've been feeding my family for years. It's something that I struggled with, but I decided to continue working with the music. So after the Roc-A-Fella split, I really just had to gather my thoughts, get everything together and see what I was going to do next, and I just went back to what I know."
I remember back in my teenage year when I was throwing parties every now and then, and one fell around when Muslims were fasting, and I had to go and pick up this female friend of mine after 7p.m, cos that's about the time they finished the daily fast. Why did I bring this up? It is really hard for you to live a normal fun filled life and follow some of religions strict rules.

The Life And Times Of Kim Kardashian...Before Kanye West
I realized how intertwined Kim Kardashian's life is in the music industry, and the whole American social circle, and I thought it would be cool to give people a glimpse of her life before she got popular...or infamous. Kim was born and raised in L.A, California; so, you understand now why she loves the camera so much. She was born on October 21st 1980, to parents- Robert Kardashian (Defence Attorney), and Kris Kardashian. Kim's father was actually on O.J Simpson's defence team back when O.J caught the murder case in 1994. The couple divorced in 1990, and Kris Kardashian married Bruce Jenner the following year, and she became Mrs.Kris Jenner.
In 1998, Kim graduated from Marymount Highschool, located in Holmby Hills/Bel Air. She got married 2 years later to music producer, Damon Thomas when she was just 19. They got a divorce in 2004. I'm sure a lot of people don't know that Kim Kardashian was once Mrs. Kim Thomas.
In 2004, after her divorce, she became a stylist for Brandy. She also worked other assistant roles for several other celebrities, including being a shopper for Lindsay Lohan. As she got into the whole Hollywood lifestyle, she met and started dating Brandy's brother (Ray-J), around the mid 2000s. Later a sex tape with both of them in it surfaced in 2007. She sued Vivid Entertainment (the company that put the sex tape out there), and she got an out-of court settlement of $5 million. WOW! Is that serious cash or what?
In the same year the sex tape came out, she began dating New Orleans Saints running back, Reggie Bush. And that same year, she got a contract for a TV Series titled, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, with E! Network. The show stared/stars her other sister's Kourtney & Khloe; her brother, Rob; her mother, Kris, and her step father, Bruce Jenner. It has had various other spin-offs like- Kourtney and Kim Take New York. She and her sisters used their new found fame to open a clothing boutique called DASH in 2008- the first one was in L.A, but they now have outlets in New York, and Miami.
Kim has numerous other business ventures- she has released 5 fragrances to date. In her personal life, she dated Reggie Bush on and off from 2007-2010. She flirted with Kanye West around 2010, but her sister (Khloe) said in an interview that it was nothing serious, and that the two were just sleeping together. She started dating Kris Humphries some time in 2011, and he proposed marriage to her 6 months later. They got married on August 20 2011, and 72 days later, on October 31, Kim Filed for divorce.
A couple of weeks later, she was seen in various locations with Kanye West, and the two have been an item since then. I should add that earlier this year, Kim and the rest of the Kardashians got a new contract with E! Network for their Keeping Up The Kardashians TV show to keep airing on the TV network...the deal was worth $40 million...the highest payment for any TV series in history.Ricky Ruckus Says J. Cole Is One Of The Greats
North Carolina rapper, Ricky Ruckus says he thinks J. Cole should be considered amongst the greats in Hip Hop history. Well, J. Cole has just one album out, and has been on the scene for just about 4 years, but I think I agree with him on this. J. Cole is one of the new generation of rappers that is really doing what Hip Hop was known for in the past...passing a message, in a very constructive and creative way."I wouldn't go as far as to say J. Cole is the greatest of all time, but he's definitely one of the greats. He's so underrated," Ruckus told SOHH. "His first album was one of my favorite albums of the last five years. Out of all time, Nas is my favorite artist, he mirrors Nas a lot, to me. Just past him being from North Carolina, lyrically and content-wise, his shows [are incredible]. If you've ever been to one of his shows, it's great. I don't see any bad things about the whole J. Cole brand. And to me, that's what makes you great. If you've got great lyrics, you put out a great album, you put in work, he's been grinding. He's been underJay[-Z] for four years, we heard about him but before is album came out he was with him for three or four years." (SOHH)
