Jay-Z's Wife, Beyonce Ready to Become a Mother

Jay-Z's wife, Beyonce has finally decided she is about ready to start having kids. I think that is nice to here, because they was a rumor out that they (jay and b) had seperated based on that issue. Jay-Z wants kids, and Beyonce wants to focus on her music career and feels having kids would be a hinderance. Me, i think she needs to chill and focus on family for a while.I guess it is because she has been doing music all her life. In case you don't know, Beyonce and and her cousin, Kelly Rolland formed the group, Destiny's Child when they were 9.

Read what Beyonce had to say below-

always said I'd have a baby at 30,"
she said in an interview. "I'm 29. But I
also said I was going to retire at 30.
I'm not retiring...Only God knows
[when]...I feel like 30 is the ideal age,
because you're mature enough to
know who you are and have your
boundaries and your standards and
not be afraid or too polite, but young
enough to be a young woman. I'm so
looking forward to it." ("Piers
Morgan")

I hope she can stand by this, because her new album, "4" just dropped a couple of days ago, and i trust her to start heavy promotion on it. By heavy promotion, i mean shooting videos, going on radio stations, touring...

Last November, Beyonce discussed
the frequency in media reporting her
as pregnant.

"At this point, they say that I've been
pregnant like eight times, so I am kind
of used to it," the 29-year-old singer
said in an interview with The
Associated Press. "I just hope that
one day when I decide to be pregnant
that people are happy for me. ... One
day hopefully I will be. It's part of
being a celebrity, I guess."

New 2Pac Track Dissing Dr Dre, De La Soul, Nas, Wendy Williams & Biggie

A new track has leaked on the internet where Tupac dissed his former associate- Dr Dre; De La Soul; Biggie; Nas, and even Wendy Williams; check it out here- watch ya mouth

When i listened to this track, it got me thinking; was Tupac just a paraniod rapper with a lot of talent? You know, it is almost like he was just dissing everybody for no reason. To all the Tupac fans out there, i am also a fan, but i like to analyze things, so don't get me wrong.

He dissed The Fugees (Because they randomly said- the best side is the east side on one of their songs), Dr Dre (because dre worked on nas's 2nd album, and he formed a super group, which consisted basically east coast rappers- The Firm... nas, az, foxy brown, cormerga), De La Soul (I don't know the reason), Nas (Because he had a line on one of his songs where he said- Fake thug, you get no love- and at the time tupac was all about Thug Life)... I don't know men! I know a lot of people are going to flip after reading this. Pac is one of the greatest rappers...i used "is" because he lives on through his music. But, on the real, the dude had too much negative energy.

In a recent interview, the Outlawz (Hussein, E.D.I, Fatal, Noble), his rap click were talking about how Tupac was always talking about death and destrcution too much. They said he wanted them to save all their royalty money so that they could build an underground chember so that when the destruction of the world came (which he believed was coming soon at that time- 1996), that he and his click and family would have a place to stay and food to last till the world was re-built. These guys said he was dead serious about it. I am thinking; what kind of mind did pac have? I guess he was thinking of death all along. As they say, artist of all kind are always bordering between sanity and insanity at any time.

Let me stop here; read the lyrics to the song below-

"We untouchable now that we shook Doc Dre," Pac raps. "He ain't made a beat in six years, swear he the sh*t/Don't get no record sales suckin' Nas d*ck -- I heard Nas got beef 'cause I'm dissing his clique/Cool, come bring your a** n*gga you can get dissed -- De La got a problem with this hard sh*t, ever since 'Me, Myself & I' y'all been garbage/I'ma keep this real, show y'all how it feels to ride/y'all went three feet high and stopped rising/ Wendy Williams is a fat b*tch, that's the truth/I got a job full of n*ggas nuts, that's for you/Let the West Side, East Side drama cease, I'll come alone to your own streets, Outlaw -- Cream Puff never had no heart to start, so how the h*ll Biggie Smalls get the part? Watch yo mouth!" ("Watch Yo Mouth")

Bad Meets Evil; 2nd Week At the Top- Rap Albums on The Billboard Charts

Bad Meets Evil- Hell; The Sequel is at the top for a second week running. Royce Da 5'9 and Eminem's collabo EP sold 63,000 copies this week, and they are now at a total of 234,000 after 2 weeks on the chart. I suspect that the sales will spring up again once they shoot the video for Lighters with Bruno Mars. The track is already an official second single, and is already gaining air play on radio.

Pitbull's Planet Pit sold 55,000 copies after one week in stores. Now, this dude, i didn't like before, but i am really feeling his feel-good music concept. And he has some nice punchlines too. Pitbull might not be a conventional rapper with the three verse and hooks to separate them, but he seems to have his own lane right now. The man is everywhere, and you can trust that even if he wont go plat with the album, he Planet Pit (Deluxe Version) [Explicit]would definitely go plat with one or two of his singles.

Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday is back on the charts, after she won award for the Best Female Hip Hop Artist category 2 nights ago- who else could have won it? Anyway, the album sold 14,000 copies this week, and is now at a total of 1,446,000 copies sold so far.Pink Friday (Deluxe Version) [Explicit]

Tech N9ne's All 6's & 7's sold 12, 000 copies this week, and is now at a total of 86,000 copies. And Self-Made, Vol.1 from Maybach Music Group sold 8,000 this week, and is now at a 102,000 copies so far. Gorilla Zoe's KING KONG album sold 5,700 copies, with a total now at 16,000.

The LOX Talk Side Business Outside Rap

The rap super group, The LOX got on the Funk Master Flex show recently and voiced out on the business side of their lives. The group, which comprises Jadakiss, Sheek Louch and Styles P have been in the rap game since 1996. Although they have not been big sellers all the while, they have managed to stay relevant in the game for so long off of their lyrical abilities alone. It is just of recent that they have started venturing into other business; like the book Styles P released last year- Mr Invicible. Read more below-

“I just want to expand my horizons as far as my artistry,” Styles P told Funkmaster Flex. “To tell you the truth, I wanted to write a movie and books. But if I’d have written the book first they would’ve been like, ‘Ghetto rapper writing a movie,’ and it would’ve been the same old same old without me showing my intellect as much.” (styles p)

Styles said his book Invincible was essentially a set up to get into movies, and it lines up with his other diversified interests such as his Bronx-based bar, Juices For Life. Fellow LOX member Jadakiss said he may join Styles P in the beverage business, and he encouraged aspiring emcees and producers to similarly expand their business profiles.

“A lot of kids grow up and want to be rappers and producers and just be famous and be on TV,” Jadakiss added. “But the object is to use it as a stepping-stone and get that outside money. I’m thinking of doing my own coffee. My pops got his own coffee company, and I could just be the first rapper to have his own coffee. Coffee is big right now, and if I come with my own blend it might be out of here.”

This is one thing i am always thinking about; what do rappers do to get money apart from the money they get from their music? Apart from royalty checks, and shows, there has to be another side hustle you are into. I don't think any rapper should depend only on album sale money and show money to live, because that kind of money can slow up at anytime...except you are Eminem, who still makes hundreds of thousands from music he made 10 years ago. But even Eminem would need a side hustle. I know Jada has always boasted about his whole-sell Weed business, but that is still not big enough or reliable enough. I wish them all the best in what ever businesses they want to get into.

Winners At The B.E.T Awards

Kanye West and Nicki Minaj are some of the winners of the just concluded 2011 B.E.T awards, which took place last night. It went down at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California. A lot of bloggers are not too happy that Whiz Khalifa won the award for Best New Artist; people feel J.Cole should have gotten that. I like being honest, so i will say it as it is; Whiz Khalifa deserved it, and he got it. I am more of a J.Cole person, but you can't dispute the fact that Whiz Khalifa has been putting in a lot of work lately. Top 10 Rap Songs For the Week

1. Drake - "Trust Issues"

2. Game featuring Chris Brown - "Pot of Gold"

3. Common - "Summer Madness"

4. Drake - "Marvin's Room"

5. Nas - "Nasty"

6. Kid Cudi - "Angels and Demons"

8. Jay-Z featuring Beanie Sigel - "Where Have You Been"

9. Cee Lo Green - "Bridges"

10. 50 Cent - "Outlaw"

According to radio play, request and discussion on the internet, these 10 songs are the most popular/hottest for this week. I am about to go and download that song with styles p and royce; those are two monsters on the beat, i am sure they made a masterpiece with that one. And i am surprised with the jay-z and beanie sigel track- "where have you been". It is good to know that they have squashed their beef, unless this is just one of those old tracks that surface once in a while. I will check it out for it's authenticity.

Game's track with Chris Brown is cool. I am really happy for that one, because i didn't like the one he did with Dj Khaled, fabolous and Busta Rhymes recently...i think this one is way better. If you don't have any of this songs on your phone or ipod, you are missing out.

Is Jay-Z Happily Married

We all know Jay-Z is arguable the richest rapper in the game. He has made it to the point where he has brunch with the likes of Warren Buffet…and even U.S President, Barack Obama. That is a great achievement for a black man that was still living in the housing project about14 years ago. But, my question is- Is Jay-z happily married? We all know he is married to the self-acclaimed Queen of r&b, Beyonce. They started dating in 2002, and finally got married in 2008. It is no question that their union was a match made in heaven; the most successful rapper, hitching his equivalent in the r&b genre. But what happens at home when the music stops?

Earlier in the year, on Valentine’s Day to be precise, the shocking news that they had started living separately hit the internet. B was seen dining with another female celebrity on lovers’ day- where was jay-z? One thing about being a celebrity of the magnitude of Jay and B is that you cannot make a move without the whole world knowing. So, the news finally got out that Jay was now staying away from his wife in L.A. The story was that the couple felt the temporal separation would re-ignite the fire of love between them, and give both of them time to think on the way forward in their marriage. But the 411 is that there is a little disagreement which has to do with having kids. Apparently, Jay-Z wants kids, but Beyonce is not ready for that. She feels that her top priority now is her career, and that children would hinder her life-long goal. She feels the time for kids would come, maybe when she finally retires. But when will that be? She is clocking 30 this year, and jay is already 41.

I have a philosophy that anything any man does in his life; whether he is working 9 hours a day, or robbing a bank, or chasing his passion, is for one goal- happiness. Now, if you now get everything that you want in life, but you are still not happy, because the thing that is meant to be the simplest (sharing all that with the one you love with mutual understanding), then I feel you are not totally successful.

Through my study of what brings about total peace of mind and happiness in man, I found out that the combination of love, romance and sex does the magic. I look at jay-z’s life, and I am wondering, does he get the right doses of this three in his life? With the way his wife tours, works tirelessly for perfection of one musical video after the other, and all the numerous business she has to attend to; does she have any time and energy left for her husband? If you would ask me, I would say she is in love with her work.

I watched a recent jay-z interview, and when he was asked about having kids, he tried to dodge the question. He talked about how much he liked them (kids), but he didn’t want to give the real reason why he and B didn’t have any. He sounded very passionate while talking, and it was clear that he might have all the money in the world, but a child of his own was one thing he longed for at the moment. And one more thing; a lot of people like to ignore the role of sex in marriage, but it is a very strong factor of deciding whether the marriage goes smoothly or hits the rock.

From my study of the role sex, romance and love play in a relationship, I know that as long as these are lacking in any union, there would definitely be negative implications. You might find the couple arguing over little things that are meant to be over-looked; hate might start building up between the two parties; and the worst, they would start to become distant, to the point that they might just be like two strangers living in their own house.

I respect jay-z; I use his story as a testimony that anything is possible. But my question still remains- Is Jay-Z happily married? I would like to read what you guys think about that.

Missy Open's up About Silence

Missy has been on a long hiatus for a while now, and she has finally come out to speak on the cause of her hiatus. Missy was very prominent in the mid and late 90s in Hip Hop. She was definitely a force to reckon with in hip hop back in the days. Even in the early 00s, she was still hot, but it was evident around the mid 00s that she was on a down throttle. And in the last few years, i don't think there has been any hot Missy song on radio, or MTV. Unknowing to the the public, she has been battling with a terminal disease.

I really feel for her, and i wish her all the best. Read more about this below-

According to Brad Abramson, executive producer for Missy's VH1 Behind the Music (premiering June 29) the visionary suffered from painful health problems. "Missy was great and very candid. She talked for the first time about her [near fatal bout with] Graves disease, which she's been battling for the last few years, and spoke in detail about the sexual abuse she experienced as a child." Missy opened up about her fight with the autoimmune disease even more saying: "You live with it the rest of your life. I couldn't write because my nervous system was so bad. I couldn't even use a pen." (VIBE)

Graves disease is associated with the body's metabolism function.
Graves disease is an autoimmune disorder that leads to overactivity of the thyroid gland (hyperthyroidism). The thyroid gland is an important organ of the endocrine system. It is located in the front of the neck just below the voice box. This gland releases the hormones thyroxine (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3), which control body metabolism. Controlling metabolism is critical for regulating mood, weight, and mental and physical energy levels. (NCBI)

This is just proof that stars/celebrities are just as human as all of us; they suffer in other ways, even if they have all the money in the world. I can remember when Sheek Louch (member of The L.O.X) was very sick to the point his family and friends thought he would die. When he got a little better, he said this on a track- "Take my wealth/give me my health". You might think you don't have anything, but remember that you have your health, and you can always get wealthy with hard-work and a definite purpose. I wish Missy all the best.

Jimmy "Henchmen" Arrested By The Feds

Jimmy "Henchmen" Rosemond has been finally been apprehended by the authorities. Read the story below-

On the run from police for the past month, Jimmy “Henchman” Rosemond was arrested early today by DEA agents in connection with heading a cocaine trafficking ring that operated bi-coastally.

According to the NY Post, the 46-year-old was found leaving the W Hotel in New York City’s Union Square. He tried to outrun agents before he was finally arrested on 21st Street and Park Ave. South.

The media mogul, who manages Akon and Brandy, will be arraigned later today in Brooklyn Federal Court. Two informants who were “high-ranking members of Rosemond’s organization” aided the probe, which investigated his involvement in shipping hundreds of kilos of cocaine from the West Coast to New York.

[June 21]

UPDATE: According to the Wall Street Journal, Rosemond has pleaded "not guilty to intentionally conspiring to distribute and possess with intent to distribute five kilograms or more of cocaine, witness tampering and obstruction of justice." He is currently being held without bond.

"This indictment was built on the backs of witnesses that have been threatened and bribed by federal prosecutors," said his lawyer, Jeffrey Lichtman. "And I plan to expose all of it. If the government wants a fight, they’re going to get a fight." (hiphopdx.com)

I wish him all the best.

DMX Says F**k Jay-Z

DMX is currently serving time, like he has been doing for the most part of the last 5 years, but his barks are still heard from behind bars. Fuck Jay-Z!!! That's what he is saying. Apparently, he was asked at one of his concerts, before he went in to serve time, about Jay, and he screamed Fuck Jay-Z! What may have warranted that? I don't know. I can remember an interview of DMX a couple of years ago where he talked about his present relationship with Jay-Z; like almost every other person that knew jay when he was on the come up, he didn't quiet like the new jay. In the late 90s and early 00s, Jay-Z, DMX and Jarule were the biggest sellers at Def Jam, and i know X and Jay had a cool rapport, so this is not good looking. In his (DMX) 2000 hit single, "what's my name", there was a part he rapped, "all this funny ass niggaz, running around, yapping about they be holding figures as big as jigga's"...that's definitely giving props to jay, so what must have gone wrong?

DMX even recalls Jay-Z calling him shortly after he (jay) got appointed as Def Jam president, telling him how they would be running things now. But, as he recalls, Jay got cold afterwards. You can read what he had to say below-

"I've not talked to him yet, since. But I had a show November 18th, before I got locked up--No November 12th I had the show. And somebody in the crowd was like 'What's up with Jay-Z' and I was like 'F*ck Jay-Z'. And it ended up all over the place. So he called Swizz [Beatz], Swizz called me, and he tells Swizz 'Yoo, why your man dissin me? I was gonna do a song with him'--Coulda, woulda, shoulda. F*cking bullsh*t. I don't wanna hear that sh*t. And like 'Yo, can you just get him to say he ain't mean it'--NO! I'm not saying that. What I did say is if he wanna talk to me, I'm man enough to let him know why it's 'F*ck You', but it's still 'F*ck You'! That's what it is. I'll let you know why, I can do that. It ain't like you gotta worry about me running up on you shooting you. It ain't that serious. You don't owe me nothing. But if you want an explanation as to why it's 'F*ck You', I'll be more than happy to tell you why." (VIBE)

Hmm! I guess we would have to wait and here what it is that jay did. I think old rappers don't really need any type of beefing right now. So i hope they get in touch and settle the whole issue, which might be something not worth holding a grudge over.

Illuminati in Hip Hop: It is Not What You Think

There has been a lot of talk on Illuminati in Hip Hop which has become a very controversial topic in the last 3 years or so. I have written this article to give my own opinion on the matter, and sort of lay down my findings so that you can have a new view on the matter. Before I go on, I would like to let you know that this is going to be far from what you have been reading about, or what your heart strongly longs for. What I am trying to say is that, my write up is not going to be one-sided; I really just want to lay everything down on the table, and let you make your decision. And at this point, I would like to introduce myself; my name is Kayode Olumide Odusanya, and I live in a very remote part of Lagos state in Nigeria. Walk with me.

First, I would like to educate you on the history of the Illuminati. The Illuminati, formed sometime in the early last millennium was made up of a bunch of scientist, writers, painters that were involved in enlightening the masses; educating the world on the powers of man's mind, and the truth about the world (both physical and spiritual). And sometime around the 15th and 16th century, the church started hunting them down and killing them one by one. Christianity was the dominant religion at the time, and anybody believing anything contrary to that, or educating the people on the powers of the mind, was termed a heretic and burnt at the stake. Heretic by the way is gotten from a Greek word which means “different”. I would like to state here that you have google as your tool to check the authenticity of any of my claims.

Galileo, a scientist, and an enlightened fellow, had to be transported to France to publish his theory on the Sphericity of the earth. At that time, the world was controlled by the Roman Empire (which also was the home of the church) and they believed the earth was flat. As I said earlier, the church at that time did not entertain any individual going contrary to its beliefs and teachings. I do not want to dwell too much on this issue; it is very controversial and a hard pill for a lot to swallow. I just wanted to get a message across, and I have achieved that.

The Illuminati, at least before the lot of them were wiped out, were a bunch of everyday scientist and artist that believed in enlightenment; they were not a bunch of devil worshipers. If you want to use the term “free thinkers”, that would go just right. But if you want to believe all the videos you have been watching on youtube, then you can say Tai Solanrin (A Nigerian Visionary) was a devil worshiper, you can say Zack Efron is a devil worshiper, you can say Julian Moore is a devil worshiper, or Fela, or Alexander Graham Bell, Thomas Edison, Warren Buffet, Henry Ford, Mark Zuckerberg, Steven Spielberg, Bill Gates, Charlie Chaplin, Woody Allen, Bruce Lee, George Clooney, Bruce Willis...the list is endless. All the people I have mentioned are free thinkers; they do not belong to any religion, but it does not mean they worship the devil. Do you know one more thing? All the people I mentioned are the ones that have made the world a better place; whether through entertainment, fighting for the rights of the people, development, medical breakthrough, inventions…and the list goes on.

I want you to stop and think for a second; forget everything you have always known and have been told, and just think independently. What does the fact I have just brought to your knowing mean to you? What can you make of it? These are facts and not fallacy. You can check up on any name I have mentioned for what I claim about them. So, as I ask, what is really happening in this world? Nothing; they are not devil worshipers, they have just been able to think beyond religion and find God. And when you have a personal relationship with God within you, you would know no bounds. Personally, I am a Christian, but I do not hold any pastor as God; I relate with the father within on a consistent basis. They know one thing; God is in all of us, regardless of your religion.

Not to get lost in all the religion talk, I would like to come back to the basis of this article, which is trying to clarify issues of whether or not there are Illuminati activities present in Hip Hop. People believe all the successful artists in hip hop are devil worshipers- Jay-Z, Kanye West, Drake and Rick Ross are some that are regularly mentioned. I told a couple of people about Don Jazzy and D banj (Nigerian artists) getting signed to Kanye’s G.O.O.D Music label and all these people could make out of it was that they had joined the Illuminati. What an absurd suggestion; their hard work and believe in their abilities got them there, and nothing else.  The Universal Laws worked for Kanye, Drake, Jay-Z, Lady Gaga and whoever might be mentioned as an Illuminati member.  But, as Nas said on his Hate Me Now song- “people fear what they don't understand”.

Back in 2009, when this whole issue about Illuminati in music started popping up, my friend and I decided to write a book on it. We found out that people like controversy, and would believe anything. The majority of people are attracted to anything that has mystery written all over it; they like to believe there is this evil force somewhere. So, after we agreed on it, I went to work and started researching. Of course, at that point I was on the fence, not really believing in the stories, or that they were lies. My friend on the other hand believed they were stories based on people's ignorance. So, my open-mindedness led me to a series of researches that have spanned 2 years. I must say it has been a very interesting 2 years, and when I look back, I laugh at the things I would easily believe back then.

I have to say that the videos on youtube are pretty convincing, but as my friend always says- “You will always find what you are looking for, and you can make people believe whatever you want them to believe as long as their focus is on that thing.” During my study, I researched the illuminati; I researched principles of success; characteristics of the greatest men in world history; religion and the power of the mind. Because this article is on illuminati in hip hop, I would focus on just that. I would like to give you a little detail on the most targeted individual when it comes to all these illuminati talk- Jay-z. An old rapper from the late 80s called Jaz-O, who mentored Jay-Z in the early stages of his career (his late teens), had some not so nice things to say about jay-z in a recent interview. They had a falling out sometime in the early 00s, so it was not a surprise. But when this man, Jaz-O, was asked if he thought Jay-Z was a member of the Illuminati, he just laughed and said he didn't think so. He said he believed jay was just a puppet fro the real perpetrators.
Not to use too much time on jay, I would like, if you had time, go and watch the biography of jay-z on youtube. There you would see how he had one purpose, to be the greatest rapper, and he followed that one dream through all the hard times. From 1987, when he was just 18, to 1996, when the world finally got to know him; he stuck with just one goal. If you know about the power of definiteness of purpose, you wouldn't believe all these stories you hear around. This is just to erase the belief in a lot people's mind's which associate any big success with darkness.

To end, do I believe there is an illuminati movement in hip hop? No, I don't; but I do believe there are people in the upper echelon of the music industry (not just hip hop) who have a mission of keeping the majority of people dumb. And this people are not just in the music industry, they are everywhere. Well, you can call them whatever name you want…I don't know what name to give them, but their idea and believe is that as long as they can keep people from thinking for themselves, they would forever keep them ignorant of their own individual powers. The Supreme Being would communicate faster and easier with a “still” mind than one that never has time to think. No time to think because of all the games, ipods, dvd’s, BlackBerry’s and other toys he has that are taken his time. And also, the ton of work he has to do, that doesn't even allow him an hour each day to reflect on where he wants to be, and how to get there. And the last ingredient- “as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he”. You think about what you see, hear and talk about- and who controls that? Through the kind of music that gets played on radio, the kind of movies that get out there, and the million upon million violent games you get to play.

To end this, I would say, the majority of the people are looking in the wrong places. From my earlier definition of Illuminati, you would know, if they still exist, they can't be the ones responsible for all these allegations because they believe in the exact opposite of all these accusations. We have been fighting the wrong enemy, and the real enemy has been helping to propagate all these Illuminati nonsense so that you would never discover their real mission. They have succeeded in making you associate wealth with darkness in your mind. Open your eyes, and your mind, and stop following the follower.

WATCH OUT FOR PART 2

Bad Meets Evil at Number 1: Rap Albums on Billboard Charts

Bad Meets evil: Hell, The Sequel is at the top this week, just as expected. I predicted that the EP by Eminem and Royce Da 5’9 would sell between 80- 180k first week, and they sold 171,000 copies; I guess my predictions were right. I am really happy for Royce, cos he is set for life with this one. This album would definitely go plat in a couple of months, and it would continue to sell for a very long time, which would bring more royalty checks for Royce. Royce has been in the underground for too long, and this is definitely his big break.

All 6’s & 7’s from Tech N9ne sold 18,000 copies this week, and is now at a total of 74,000 copies sold.  Whiz Khalifa’s Rolling Papers sold 14,000 copies this week, and is now at a total of 459,000 copies sold. He is almost at Gold status, but I doubt if he can make it to platinum status.

All 6's And 7's [Explicit]Eminem’s Recovery is back on the charts, definitely off of the buzz from the Bad Meets Evil EP. His 6th studio album sold 12,000 copies this week, and is now at a total of 3,905,000 so far. He is just 95,000 copies short of going quadruple platinum; and that is in the U.S alone. This man, as I always say, has a lane of his own. The best decision Royce made was to make an EP with him. Of course Royce just as talented as Eminem, but em has a crazy following.

Self-Made, Vol.1 from Maybach Music Group sold 11,000 copies this week, and is now at a total of 101,000 copies sold. Gorilla Zoe’s new album, King Kong debuted selling 10,000 copies this week.

And apart from his group compilation album, the Boss, Rick Ross is also on the charts with his solo effort; Teflon Don. His 4th album sold 3,500 copies this week, and is now at a total of 638,000 copies sold so far.

OutLawz Interview on the Tupac Shooter Issue

The outlawz, Tupac associates when he was alive, have come forward to give their own opinion on the Tupac shooter issue. Dexter Isaac, a convicted felon, presently serving time, came forward last week to claim that he was paid by Jimmy "Henchmen" Rosemond for the assault on Tupac at the Quad Studios in 1994. How true this guy's statement is, no one knows. You can read the full story i reported on the issue- tupac shooter confesses

Below is the outlawz interview by hiphopdx.com

HipHopDX: Let’s just get right to it. Did ‘Pac ever mention the name “Dexter” to y’all?

Noble: [Short pause] No. ‘Pac never mentioned it to me.

Fatal: I mean, I never heard of it.

DX: Dexter Isaac is a new name to a lot of folks, but he was previously implicated in the Quad shooting in Ethan Brown’s book, Snitch, [on page 75], along with a Spencer “Scooter” Bowens. A few years later, Dexter executed a murder-for-hire plot, which is what landed him life in prison. So given this guy’s lack of a moral compass, are you skeptical at all about his claim that he can provide some closure to Afeni [Shakur] and Voletta Wallace? [Basically], that he likely was involved in the Quad attack, but he don’t know shit about Orlando Anderson and [what happened in Las] Vegas?

Noble: I mean personally, I think being the fact that he just got a – basically [Jimmy Henchman] just tried to put a snitch jacket on him, so he basically saying, This is my reason for coming out saying this and that. Honestly, my gut feeling, I don’t think he lying at all.

‘Pac pretty much put it out there to the world [on “Against All Odds”], what happened. So dude saying ol’ boy had something to do with setting it up, ‘Pac already put that out to the world. So I guess people was – they ain’t know whether to believe it or not to believe it. But, me personally, nah, I don’t think he just coming out just to say it. I mean, what can he possibly gain from it? He ain’t ‘bout to get out of jail.

Fatal: I know I been playing around on the east coast for a long time, during the whole … when the Outlawz was doing the Death Row [Records] thing. Like, I was on the east coast, and I came across a lot of people. And I know my man is telling the truth. He know what he talking about.

DX: I’m just buggin’ out a little bit on the ego: how he believes he’s doing ‘Pac’s loved ones some service for finally coming clean about attempting to take ‘Pac’s life at that studio that night. He conveniently forgot to apologize for the whole trying to kill ‘Pac thing.

Noble: Yeah. Well, you know, niggas be on what they be on. I mean, dude is a hired gun, so his conscience and his heart is different from the average person’s. He dealing in the jungle on some “murder-murder” shit. So to him, it was probably just business.

Honestly, he probably was a fan of ‘Pac. Real niggas – if you been through any kind of anything, you gotta be a fan of ‘Pac. ‘Cause he was the ambassador, as far as Rap music is concerned, which is the universal language of the world. So, trust me, dude was a fan of ‘Pac. And after all these years going by, it probably was weighing on a nigga conscious like, Guess what, man? That was a great dude. And he ain’t here no more. And guess what? Y’all wanna put a snitch jacket on me, I’ma tell what I been holding on my own all these years. Fuck it. Niggas wanna act like you ain’t have nothing to do with it, and niggas is angels …

Fatal: I mean, maybe he went to jail and found God or something ….

Noble: [Laughs]

Fatal: We can’t judge him on that. Maybe he felt like he had to – You don’t know who he spoke to at night in his cell. Maybe he just felt like now was the time to tell the truth, and he’s just telling the truth. What about that?

Noble: Yeah. He basically said it: why he was coming out and saying it now. ‘Cause basically dude tried to put the snitch jacket on him - on some other shit, on some whatever they friendship and whatever they had they was dealing with. So dude like, Oh, you wanna put a snitch jacket on me? After all these years I been keeping this secret that you paid me this money to do this to ‘Pac … To me, a nigga being from the streets and knowing the game and how shit plays, it ain’t no honor amongst these dudes. So dude is like, Damn! After all these years you doing all these interviews and getting all this money with these different artists, and even west coast artists. And then the ‘Pac shit still coming up fifteen years later and you denying it to the fullest, and you was actually the dude who made it happen. I’m the dude who you paid to do it. … It makes perfect sense.

And don’t get it confused, it ain’t like he wrote that letter the day before ‘Pac birthday. That’s just I guess when [AllHipHop.com] decided to post the muthafucka.

DX: Now, in his statement, in addition to obviously implicating Jimmy Henchman as the genesis of the Quad attack, he also hinted at Puffy’s involvement. You guys have any words for Diddy at this point?

Noble: Not at all. I feel like everything that happens in the dark gon’ come to light.

Fatal: Basically, ‘Pac already summed that shit up, man. All y’all gotta do is play the music. ‘Pac already doing this interview with that “Against All Odds.” He already told everybody what happened.

Noble: I just think more information gonna come out, later down the line. God got a way of working that kind of shit out. So nah, we don’t have no words for Puff.

DX: You mentioned that Dexter Isaac’s statement was obviously released to capitalize off of the media spotlight on what would have been ‘Pac’s 40th birthday this year. This may not be fair to speculate on, but where do you guys think ‘Pac would have been in his life and career at 40?

Fatal: I think he’d a been on … something political woulda been with him. He definitely woulda been a movie star. [But], you never can tell; the sky was the limit for that guy.

Noble: Yeah, I think ‘Pac woulda had the #1 record label in the world. I think ‘Pac woulda had probably the #1 black-owned film company in the world. He was working on doing different scripts and movies. He was gonna get into that realm of him producing his own movies. I definitely think he’d a been heavy into … just things for the community, for black people. He was the ambassador of the hopeless, of the strugglers. So he definitely, like Fatal said … ain’t no telling, man. At 40, he [likely] to been in the running for something: some kind of something to be in a higher position to help his people. … He was already super ahead of his time at 25-years-old, so at 40-years-old he woulda just been like … he’d a been the man. He’d a definitely been the man, period.

DX: I say it’s unfair to speculate on where he woulda been in his life at 40 ‘cause I don’t think he thought about it. ‘Pac spit a lot of fatalistic rhymes regarding his own demise, but in private did he ever talk about aging: about living long enough to marry, raise kids, etc?

Noble: I know ‘Pac, he definitely wanted kids. But at the same time, he used to talk about death as well. He used to talk about like, “When I die, what’ch y’all niggas gonna do?” And we’d be like, “Man, we don’t wanna hear that shit! Nigga, if you dying, nigga we gonna be dying too. ‘Cause we gonna be right there.”

As far as speculating where he would be, I agree, it’s damn-near like you don’t even wanna speak on that ‘cause it won’t be doing him no justice. He was so far ahead of his time when he was alive that it’s … you can’t even imagine. I remember he was like, “Yo, you know what we gonna do? We ain’t gonna touch none of the publishing money that come. Y’all drop the Outlaw album, we gonna be getting all this muthafuckin’ money, all these big publishing checks, [but] I don’t want y’all to touch none of that money. We just gon’ save the shit and build an underground compound, so if anything happen in the world all of our family, extended family could be living underground.” I’m 17 at this time, so I’m looking at this dude like, “How the fuck are you even thinking about some shit like that?”

Fatal: He used to say shit like, “Yo, we could get our arms, we could just defend our own. We got our own compound, can’t nobody come on it. Long as we don’t come [up short on] food …” And he was damn serious about it.

Noble: Dead fuckin’ serious, man. This dude wanted us to save all of our muthafuckin’ publishing money to build an underground compound for all our families and extended families so if all the crazy shit that happen in the world [takes place] we could be underground living, and [then] come up [when it’s safe]. We might be the last muthafuckas on the earth or something. He was thinking like that, at 25-years-old.

I have heard the number one track, and i think it is cool. I am surprised it is at number 1 though, cos it is not a song that appeals to a lot of people...meaning, it is just straight up rap through out. The number 2 song is in my playlist, and i like the melodious feel of it. I have not had time to listen to the other tracks on the list; i would have to take time out to download and listen to them. But, i want to hear from you; what do you think about them?

Bad Meets Evil- Hell: The Sequel- Album Review

This EP/Album shows how fantastic Eminen and Royce Da 5’9 can be when they work together. The intro, “welcome to hell” is just as the title implies; Fire!!! The next track, which is the official first single of the album, “fast lane” is a cool track with knocking beat. I am sure the track can be played in the club if the DJ blends it well.

Check out some lines from eminem on the "wellcome to hell" track

There's a switch, I flip, emotions cut off
So cold I done froze my butt off
And this ain't even the tip of the iceberg yet
It's like squirtin a squirt gun in the ocean, fuck off
Other words I ain't put a dent in the can
compared to the damage I've yet to do
As long as you still have feelings to hurt
I'll be around as long as you let me get to you
Long as I got two balls to palm
I'll be the bomb, you just a false alarm

Also, below is the end of em's verse, off the same song, entering Royce's verse-

eminem
Mental capacity unmatched, it has to be
stopped but it can't be, but man I can't just keep
doin 'em like that or no one'll rap with me (yeah)
Except one, you asked who is it?

Royce
Guess who just came through the blast, you bitches
With the ratchet, the Book of Mathew
A book of matches lightin, I'm under white linen
You 'bout to have to admit it
They pass you the mic, asked you to spit it

After the second track, the album slips to a lower notch with the Re-Union track. After the first two tracks, you would have been used to the lyrical murder that Eminem and Royce bring, and you might not really feel the third track, which is a narrative song. It takes Eminem back to relapse Eminem, or Slim Shady Eminem…the playing around Eminem.

Above the law, the 4th track is another track where the duo gets to spazz-out, but the album loses its steam after that again. Most of the tracks on the album, apart from the last track that features Slaughterhouse, is basically just Eminem and Royce going back to back, like the style popularized by Jadakiss and Styles P. Some tracks are just two verses, Eminem and Royce delivering 32 bars each; and some are three verses, and they would each take one verse, and go back to back on the 3rd one.

But they are some tracks, like the intro, “welcome to hell”, which is one of the best tracks on the album, where they broke the rules. After Eminem dropped his 32bars at the beginning, and Royce comes in, the rest cannot be calculated; you would have 16 bars from Royce here, then Eminem would come with 8 bars, then Royce would come with 4 bars, and it went on like that.

There is a very impressive part of royce's verse on the "Above the Law" track

I stay violent, y'all go the peace route
You got a mouth like Kanye, I'll knock your whole bottom row of teeth out
No disrespect to Mr. West, shit I'm just nice with mine
And this just wrap 'em, just like Ricky Hatton, I just like the line
These weak rappers wanna set us up, they never tough
They ask me for a hook I tell 'em left to right, head or GUT!
What y'all messin with is
A nigga that'll leave you FUBAR, Fucked Up Beyond All Recognition
Y'all are rock stars, I'm the opposite
I could just, throw a rock and hit a star, for the FUCK of it!
Partner you not hard, I'll body ya hot bars
Beef has left you prayin, right? Like Allahu Akbar
Let's go, when I leave y'all shot
You ain't gon' be on your metro in a bad area, that car drop

The fun thing about the album is that Royce was able to hold his own with Eminem; something that is not very common, considering all the rappers that Eminem has worked with. He even murders Eminem on the “Above the Law” track. And he has the best verse on the last track, which features slaughter house, loud noises. The song with Bruno Mars, which I am sure would be the next single, is the best song on the album. If not for the album feelers like “A Kiss”, and “I Am on Everything”, this would have been a masterpiece. I would give it 7.5 out of 10.

Why Is 50 Cent Not Mentioned Amongst the Greats in Rap History

Yeah! That's a question I want to tackle- why is 50 Cent not mentioned amongst the greatest rappers in the history of rap? Why doesn't his name come up on any “top 5 dead or alive” list…or even a top 10 greatest rappers of all-time list? Why? There is a segment on allhiphop.com dedicated to rappers naming who they consider top 5 dead or alive; I have been following that segment for about 4 years now, and I have never seen 50's name being mentioned. The regulars, in no particular order, are; Tupac, Jay-Z, Biggie, Nas, Rakim, Jadakiss, KRS 1, Big Daddy Kane, Lil Wayne, Eminem, Big Pun, Ice Cube and Prodigy (one half member of Mobb Deep); but there is never a mention of 50 cent.

Get Rich Or Die Tryin50 Cent has sold more records, on a singular album, than any Black Rapper. His “Get Rich or Die Trying” (2003) has sold 13 million copies worldwide. I think the only other black rapper close to that is Nelly with his Country Grammar album that sold 10 million copies. The follow-up to get rich or die trying, “The Massacre” sold 9 million copies worldwide. I think those are huge numbers, but I guess it is not only about sales. If It were about sales, then you can say Nelly is a better rapper than Jadakiss, which is false. So what is it about?

It's about skill, flow, lyrics, consistency, delivery, and of course commercial success to some point. If it were about sales only, 50 cent would be top 5. I watched a video on youtube recently where some on air personalities invited Fat Joe over to their studio, and they had all this posters on the wall of who and who they consider as the greatest rappers in rap history. There were posters on the wall of Lauryn Hill, Rakim, KRS 1, Nas, Jay-Z, Biggie, Tupac, Lil Wayne, Fat Joe & Big Pun together, Mos Def, and maybe one other rapper I can't remember. So they had Fat Joe talk about what he felt about the entire artists, and he gave his opinion. When he was about to leave, the presenters told him that they had invited 50 Cent over some time ago, but he was vexed with them that they didn't have his picture up. Men!!!I know how he must feel. After selling all those records, having an unstoppable movement (that has crashed right now); why wouldn't they put him up? I guess I have said it.

“I’m the nigga trying to holla cos I want some bread”…those are lines from 50 Cent on his P.I.M.P song that was on his first album…or more like, first album after he was brought back to life from the gun shots. Okay, what about those lines? They say everything; he was in it for the money, and he got more than enough in a very short period. Although his assets have dropped now, in 2007, he was number one in Hip Hop with an asset of over $500 million. It is clear that, although Jay-Z is very business savvy and everything, he is still in it for the art. Of course, he might get a bit too commercial sometimes, but I can say those are just ways of Jay trying to be versatile, and make his music more interesting.

Okay, back to the analysis- Get Rich or Die Trying (2003) sold 6 million copies in the U.S, The Massacre (2005) sold 4.8 million copies in the U.S, Curtis (2007) sold 1.3 million copies in the U.S, and his last studio album, Before I Self Destruct (2009) sold just 600,000 copies in the U.S. So, you have someone go from selling 6 million copies in 2003 to only sell 600,000 copies 6 years later. So, what happened? What happened to all the 5,400,000 fans? I am not trying to be harsh, but just carrying out an analysis here. For a better understanding of what I am trying to prove, I would like to analyze other rappers I consider great- Eminem’s first album, Slim Shady LP (1999) sold 4.5 million copies in the U.S, and his 6th  album, Recovery, which dropped last year, 2010, has sold 3.9 million copies so far, and is still selling. So, that is a 12 year period of consistency. We can consider also, Jay-Z; his first album, Reasonable Doubt (1996) sold 1 million copies in the U.S, and his last album, Blueprint3 (2009), sold 1.7 million copies (in the US). Lastly, let's check out an artist that is somewhat underrated, but respected by people that know real rap; Jadakiss. Kiss was/is in the legendary rap group, The L.O.X  since 1996 when they signed with Puff Daddy (P.Diddy), but he released his first solo album in 2001. The album, “Kiss the Game Goodbye” sold 800,000 copies in the U.S, and his last solo album, “Kiss of Death” (2009) sold Gold, 500,000 copies. Even though he hasn't sold multi-platinum, at least he has been consistent.

So, I guess that is what 50 Cent lacks, consistency. And that also goes for the quality of his music. I was in my friend's car the other day, and I was forced to listen to Before I Self Destruct from start to finish- no disrespect to 50 Cent fans, but it sounded like a mixtape. Apart from some stand-up songs, the majority of the songs on the album sound …I don't know the word to use…maybe I can say he sounded like he forced himself into the studio to make them. The passion is no longer there. Of course, I will never dispute the fact that Get Rich or Die Trying is a classic album. But, as I said earlier, and is evident in the title of the album, he was and always will be about the money. His second album was aight, but it was definitely not a classic.
And it is so…I don't know, like I was reading this Nas article where they asked him about 50 Cent, and he said he feels for him. He said he knows that 50 is going through a lot…that he is not a happy man, and has a lot of built-up anger in him. So, it is clear money is not everything if you cannot be considered amongst the greats in your art.

Incase you didn’t know, 50 used to hang around nas and the bravehearts back in 2000, when he was signed to Columbia records…that was before he got shot. And when he blew up, he started disrespecting nas-  that was what the interviews were asking nas about…whether he felt anger towards 50 Cent enough to have done a whole diss record for him. That is what I want to touch on next; 50 Cent brought negativity into Hip Hop…or maybe he championed it and took it to the next level, after Jay-Z started the whole hate thing.

I can’t think of any rapper that 50 has not dissed in his 8 year career- jay-z, lil wayne, t.i, nas, jarule, camron, rick ross, shyne, jadakiss and the whole d-block camp, fat joe, kanye west…and the list goes on and on. He got so tired of dissing rappers and started dissing other celebraties…like Oprah. But I guess the sales of his recent albums have humbled him, and he has started making amends with his co-rappers. I know he has squashed the beef with jadakiss and they even made a song together…and I think he and cam are now cool.

Lastly, I think the problem 50 cent had with staying consistent, which also stemmed from his mission of getting rich or die trying, instead of love for hip hop, was that he went into too many things. He went into too many businesses at the same time. But I think what hurt his career the most are the movies he is focused on now. He keeps acting and producing all these low budget movies. 1, he is not a great actor, even Jarule acts better; and 2, there is no way one thing wouldn't suffer when you are trying to focus on two things. This is where I drop my pen…or, where I stop my fingers from carrying out actions from my brain.

Jojo Remixes Drake's Marvin's Room

Jojo has dropped her own version of Drake's Marvin's room, and it has people talking. It has gotten 4.9 million hits on youtube in just 4 days. I think that is phenomenal. I know she has been trying to make a comeback for a while now, i guess she just got the ticket back in the game.

But i got to say though, she is sounding...let me just say i still see her as that little 14 year old girl from when she did that song with Bow Wow. But, judging from this song, she aint that little girl no more. Check out this line from her own version of the hook to the song-

fuck that new girl that is in your bed, and when you're in her, i know i'm in your head.

WOW! I can't just believe that jojo is talking about sex...i guess this is what got her all those hits. Word of mouth; people would be like, have you heard that jojo's version of marvin's room? Yo! She was going wild on that song...cursing and all. And, as they say, good publicity or bad publicity, both would do the job just fine...to get people talking about you again. I am sure the people suggested she do this for shock value.

I liked her music when she was younger, but i don't know what she is made up of now. I can't just judge from this song...this song is good by the way. You can check it out here- Jojo- Marvin's Room (Remix)

Joell Ortiz Reacts to Critiques of His Big Pun Back Track

Ever since Slaughterhouse member, Joell Ortiz dropped that freestyle track, "Big Pun Back", he has been getting a lot of heat for it. First, Big Pun's wife attack Joell, that he had no right to make that track...that he could not bring pun back. If you would ask me, i would say Joell can't see pun on any level, versatility, lyrically, flow or on any other level you can think of. Joell has reacted to her's and the other criticism that has been thrown his way recently considering the track.

Former Terror Squad members, Tony Sunshine and Cuban Link also came through to say that Pun was something bigger than what Joell is, and he had no right to make that track. Joell Ortiz fired back, saying he does not have to check with anybody to make a song in remembrance of his co-Latino rapper, Big Pun.

You can read what Joell Ortiz had to say about the whole issue below-

"Once again, I was confused. When I speak on them, I speak a little different, because Cuban knows me," Ortiz told radio host Funkmaster Flex Tuesday (June 14) night. "I had met Tony Sunshine before. It was a tribute, and it was a freestyle and it was in memory of a great rapper...Flex, I'm from Brooklyn. I don't have to check in with anyone about anything. I did it for Big Pun to keep his legacy alive. That's it. to be honest with you, I'm in September in my mind already. 'Big Pun's Back' was recorded late April, early May, knowing that the Puerto Rican Day parade was coming up and knowing that his tribute and his legacy needed to stay alive. Who else but me? That's how I felt. But I don't gotta check in with anybody. About anything." (Hot 97)

I would reserve my comments fro now...you can read what Cuban Link had to say below-

"Only a few are chosen to touch certain things," Cuban Link said in an interview. "And at the end of the day, I don't feel that man was chosen to do it. He didn't go through the right ways to touch that. That's all. I mean, it's no problems where there's going to be extra sh*t. It's just, it doesn't sit right with me. But at the end of the day, it is what it is. It's music. Pun was bigger than just our brother at the end of the day. So we just get a little tight when n*ggas do certain things but at the end of the day, I know they're showing love. But I know the business too. I know n*ggas use that business sh*t sometimes to bring it back on themselves and put themselves on a higher level. I gotta talk to that brother because at the end of the day, I was a fan of his sh*t too -- but it's a little personal situation. We'll leave it at that." (Picture Perfect Dot Com)

And Tony Sunshine also spoke his mind on the issue-

"He was beyond one of the best ever to touch the mic," Tony Sunshine added. "I don't think nobody could touch the mic like he did. [Joell Ortiz] is super incredible, I think he's talented and like Cuban said, I'm just glad to see somebody's trying to keep his name alive and rep his name but there's just certain things you don't do. You have to come to the table, to the family, of that man before you do certain things." (Picture Perfect Dot Com)

And finally, what Pun's wife had to say about the whole issue-

"A lot of people are asking how I feel bout Joell Ortiz BIG PUN is Back. Well it was a good attempt on Joell Ortiz part BUT a BIG PUN he will Never be! Found it a bit disrespectful that he would say he the next Christopher Lee Rios to say the least.. With no regard to Me and My family especially My Son PUN'S Only Son which should Be the ONLY one to Claim that BIG PUN is Back.." (Ms Drama TV)

Okay, i get what they are trying to say- he can't come and say Pun is back, because really, he can't touch pun on any level. And personally, i heard that track, and that is like a disrespect. If he at least wanted to say pun was back, he would have come harder than that. But, if it was on the tip of that he had to come and take permission from then, i think it is his only his wife that has the rights to say that.

Click on the above link to listen to this new Drake song...well, not too new, maybe like a month old. Drake sings on this one, sort of like "Find Your Love", and there is a rap verse after two r&b verses. I think it is a nice track...i like the smooth melody, and the slow knocking beat.

He has said this would probably not make his upcoming album, Take Care. I get this classy feeling when ever i listen to the song, but i don't know how people are going to take it, cos of the singing and every thing. But i think people are meant to be used to Drake singing by now. I think he sings as good as he raps. I don't think he lacks talent in any, like how people like to say he is a better singer; he raps just as well too.

Tupac and Nas Beef: Retro News

Back in 1996, Tupac’s first posthumous album was dropped after his death, and there was a track on there that he dissed a lot of east coast rappers, Nas inclusive. Before then, people only knew Tupac for dissing Biggie and the whole Bad Boy, as a click and as a goddamn record label- just as he said in his Hit Em Up song. So, people started wondering what was up with the thing with Nas. But, dead men don't talk, so there was a mystery surrounding the issue.

Back then, Internet wasn't like it is now, so information didn't disseminate well. And the real truth behind the whole mistaken feud was never known. It was a couple of years later, when Death Row Records had made a lot of money from the whole controversy that surrounded that song, that people started talking. And if Nas wasn't the recluse he is, he would have cleared things himself, but he really kept silent about the issue. He definitely didn't diss Tupac back, cos Pac was already dead; and he didn't come forward to clear the issue either.

The real truth…let me just say, I now know why he didn't reply that diss…he didn't reply because it wasn't really what it seemed to be. What really happened was that Tupac heard one of Nas’s song off the “It Was Written Album” (1996), titled The Message, where Nas was referring to a fake thug that get no love, and Pac thought Nas was talking to him. As I said, it was a misunderstanding. You can read what Tupac said about the issue below-

“I swear to God. I see this nigga Nas at the House of Blues, I was deep with my niggas, I know he didn’t have no guns, we could have rushed him right there. I was like ‘what’s up yo? This east coast west coast thing is not about you, don’t get caught up in it. I swear to God, we love you, we got love for you”…This nigga went back home and started talking that fake thug shit in his album…and that’s wronggg…cos you should have said that to me when I was right there…that means you’re a punk…cos I wont hug a nigga I don’t love.”

But, weeks before Pac’s death, if not days, he was in New York for the MTV Awards and he saw Nas and walked up to approach him. Now, this is the part a lot of people don’t get to hear, because the people that were there that day with Pac (Snoop, Suge Knight…) didn’t talk about It till after several years. Okay, I want you to read what Snoop said about the whole issue. He was being interviewed about the whole Biggie and Tupac beef by some radio personalities, and he was telling them how he wasn’t really into it because he was friends with Biggie even before Tupac got signed to Death Row Records in 1995. Anyway, he got tired of telling that story, and he asked them if they wanted to hear another story…

“…there was a story even more gangsta than that…Him(Tupac) and Nas. It was so gangsta. This was prequel to me meeting Angie Martinez for an interview…MTV had the Award show at Central Park, so Tupac and all of us from Death Row, we mobbing…we see Nas…He (Tupac) walked  up to nas…nas had about a hundred goons with him that I see, that I know that they killers, but pac aint tripping and he just don’t care, so he walk up to nas…nas reached out to shake pac hand, and nas say ‘I got love for you pac’, and pac said, ‘well nigga, if you got love for me, I got a song coming out where I dissed you, Jay-Z, Biggie…’ He named like about 40 niggaz…he named a bunch of niggas, and he told nas, ‘if you got love for me, you aint gon say nothing after this record come out.' Nas shook the nigga hand and looked over his shoulder…he had about a hundred niggaz with him, all them niggaz had their hands on their shit (guns). He did them niggaz like this…like he winked his eye…like don’t do it. And he shook pac hand and he said I love you pac, and they separated. And then pac looked at me (on the way back) ‘I told you, nigga, we got these niggazs…we got this niggas punked out here’. But to me, nas was gangsta, cos he didn’t push the light…He could have pushed the green button, and we’d have been done, cos we didn’t have no artillery in New York and they did.”

Okay, that is Snoop shedding more light on the whole issue, but that still don’t explain some things, like why Nas kept quiet after Makaveli dropped, but Suge Knight cleared that up in an interview. Read what he said about that day…the same day Snoop narrated.

“Pac wouldn’t attack anybody that was real. Like I say, em…Pac was a man with a lot of respect. He had did the Makaveli album…he talked about nas sort of bad…so at the MTV Awards, he met nas, he went to him like “You got a problem with me?”…that was pac. Nas was like ‘wow! I got no problem. We can be cool.’ They had a conversation…they shook and hugged. And they said if we can do music together in the future, we can make a difference. So, on our way back home, pac said ‘when we get to the studio, all the negative stuff I said about nas, I’ma take him out and put someone else in there that deserve that. But I’m not going to say anything negative about nas, cos I broke bread with him, and I gave him my word cos we were friends.’ But, we can’t change things now because pac aint here.”

As I said earlier, Pac died a few days after this incidence, and didn't get a chance to make that change. Suge Knight had two options; he could either completely omit the entire track from the album, or he could live it as it was cos, he wouldn't know how Pac would have wanted to effect the changes; I guess he chose the latter option.

Listen to Nas

Listen to Nas

I remember when Nas got back from his Distant Relatives tour with Damian Marley a couple of months ago, he said he was going to face his 10th studio album squarely, and get it out as soon as possible; a lot of people thought it was an empty promise. Of course the album is not complete, but this single is a testimony that he is really working.

But, even though it is cool that he has a single out from the album, I got my reservations concerning it. I think there is something missing. I don’t think it can be labeled an official single to an album. The track is just rap all through, no hook or chorus. He delivered well on it, with a fast flow that he uses once in a while- like the type he used for the Hero song. But, I think it can just be classified as a teaser, and not a main single

I remember when I was waiting for his last album to drop (Untitled, 2008), then all over a sudden I heard “Be a Nigger too” on radio one day and I was blown away; this track does not have that effect on me. I like it, but it really doesn’t give me goose bumps. Maybe I will really like it with time, but right now, I think it is just aight. I hope he has surprises on the actual album. And really, It wasn’t that he didn’t put the fire in this song, but there were some lines he spat that I didn’t even know what he said, or I heard what he said but it wasn’t heavy enough. He did spit some hot lines though…let me let you in on some of them.

“I’m skinny, but too big for a Bently/you’re your car; what can represent me”

Basically, he is just saying he is too big for a Bentley, not in size, but in status. I kind of like when Nas flosses, because he rarely does it. I watched this VH1 documentary of him on youtube recently and was surprised to see the house he lived in in the 90s. When I showed the video to my friend, he asked how many families live in it. The mansion looked like it had 30 rooms.

Back to my analysis- He fast raps through the whole song, so you might miss some lines if you don’t put your ears down, but I would let you in on the lines that caught my attention.

“Your flow’s cheap like limousine liquor/I’m no fake rap CD listener/sit back and roll a mean switcher/for my niggas, tell these clowns to make room for the king, nigga

Rick Ross Wanting to Sign DMX to Maybach Music

DMX might be in jail, but he is still an asset, and it is because of this, the BOSS, Rick Ross is considering signing the rap veteran. I think DMX still has a lot of bark in him; that is, if he can stay out of jail long enough. I don't know if X would fit in at Maybach Music...hell, i can't even think of any label where he would fit. Hmm! But, thinking of it a bit deeper, he could harmonize well with Rick Ross. I am sure Ricky must have visualized something before considering that.

Read what DMX had to say below-

“Rick Ross’ peoples wrote me a letter while I was in here,” he said. “Yeah like ‘Yo we got a home for you. We’ll pick you up in a limo. Just come to Miami. Just come, we got you.’”

Hmm! That is interesting...getting him in a Limo? That is to entice him...nice! But, i do know that Rick Ross got that money though. But the next thing that X said got me thinking why he would believe in all the bullshit stories flying around now. Read below-

“I’m thinking about it. It was a good feeling. I respect him as an artist, and I would like to work with him. But he got the whole Illuminati thing going on. I got fans who write me like ‘I’m glad you’re not a part of that.’ And I don’t know what it’s really about entirely. So it might be like a good thing.”

I don't know what is going on; so every successful person is now an Illuminati member? Last year december, rick ross was given $100,000 to perform privately at a kids 10 year old party by his parents. They were Nigerians, and it happened when Ricky was in Nigeria to perform at a Hip Hop Award show. That was unexpected money, from following the universal laws. Give and ye shall receive. There are codes of success that if you follow, you would be successful. There are universal laws that have and will always be, and it would work for anyone. And one of them is- "As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he". So, if rick ross and the others believe that, and they shoot for the stars, is it a bad thing? All the people talking about all this are the ones that believe they are victims...they don't know that every human being is a co-creator of his life. And that's the fact. It took me a while to really accept this, even though it is being said every now and then by people that don't even believe it. I am sure, you my reader, would have heard it before, but you might not pay attention to the gravity of it.

And lastly, he at least said he would still consider a collaboration with Ricky-

“Yeah. I have respect for him and he expressed interest that he wanted to work with me while I was out. So I definitely want do a song with him, but I don’t know about the record label thing. I would have to see what his camp is like and feel people out. I’m not the average artist.”

Okay, if he says he is not the average artist...if that is the excuse for not wanting to sign with Maybach Music, i can still buy that...not that Illuminati bullshit.
