Carter 4 First Week Sales Projections

Lil Wayne's Carter 4 dropped on Monday, 29th Aug, and the first week sales projections based on first day sales has been released. It could sell more, or it could sell less, so, these are just projections.

Check it out below-

Lil Wayne's just-released "Tha Carter IV" album could have the second-biggest sales week of the year, as industry forecasters suggest it may sell 700,000-850,000 copies by the end of the tracking week on Sunday, Sept. 4. "IV" will easily bow at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 next week -- marking Wayne's third No. 1. If "Tha Carter IV" launches with at least 700,000, it will immediately mark the second-largest frame of any album this year, behindLady Gaga's 1.11 million debut with "Born This Way." (Billboard Biz)

I guess that ain't bad. Even though it doesn't top the first week sales of Tha Carter 3 (2008), shoch did a million first week, , it sill shows that he has been able to sustain, if not build his fan-base in the last three years. One thing i know is that he has been very busy; dropping mixtapes, featuring on everybody's tracks, so i guess he deserves it.

T.I Out Of Jail

The news out is that T.I is going to be released from jail to a half-way house, sort of like house arrest for about a month.  Check the news out below-

T.I. will be reportedly released from prison in just a few days.
According to MTV News, Tip, who is currently serving an 11-month sentence in Forrest City Correctional Facility in Georgia, will be moved to a halfway house on August 31st, a month before he was originally supposed to be released from prison on September 29th.
The Grand Hustle honcho entered prison back in November 2010 for violating his probation. He has since been updating fans on his status through his website, most recently posting his last open letter before his release.
I hope he stays out of trouble from now on, so that he can get back to building his legacy. I have followed him since his Urban Legend (2004) album, and he has been on the rise...which disconnected after he went to jail in 2009. He got out of jail in 2010, and then he went back in for violating probation. So, i guess he would have learnt his lesson

Jay-Z's Wife Beyonce Is Finally Pregnant

Jay-Z and Beyonce started dating in 2003, and got married 2008; but having a kid had not been in their agenda for a while, Or maybe i should say it hasn't been in Beyonce's list of goals. There was even a rumour circulating earlier this year that they were going to split on those terms. Thanks God the rumours were just rumours  and that they are still together (a powerful couple), and Beyonce is Finally pregnant.

Read the news below-

After last night's surprise pregnancy announcement at the MTV Video Music Awards, Beyonce and Jay-Z have much to plan for. The pregnancy has already impacted production on a new film Beyonce has been tied to, Clint Eastwood's A Star Is Born. According to Deadline, Warner Bros. hoped to begin production for the film in February of 2012, but the start date could be pushed back now that Beyonce's pregnancy has been announced.
The push can also be a positive tool for the studio because it still has yet to find a male lead in the film. Some speculate Christian Bale, Will Smith and Leonardo DiCaprio have been approached about co-starring with Beyonce. No actor has finalized the deal as of yet.
Beyonce expressed her emotions last night, during the Video Music Awards by saying, "Tonight...I want you to feel the love that's growing inside of me." (hiphopdx.com)

Rick Ross Confronts Kreayshawn At The VMA's

A couple of weeks ago, Kreayshawn did a freestyle on a radio show, and dissed Rick Ross on it. She apologized a couple of days later, and then last week, she got on an interview and said people got her wrong, that she still meant what she said about ross...she even dissed him some more. Well, i knew she would get checked. Rick Ross and his entourage approached her at the just concluded VMA's. People are saying it is a pussy move from Ross, but i don't think so. This is the best Ross could have done. You don't expect him making songs about her. This way, she would know the magnitude of what she did, and know that anything could happen to her. I am not pro-violence or anything, but she was trying to be a tough girl (or maybe she was just trying to get some cheap publicity), so she has gotten it, and whatever comes with that, she has to accept it too.

Kreayshawn has been throwing shots in Rick Ross' direction over the past few months, rapping during a freestyle, "You tryna play me like a  boss / But you're faker than Rick Ross/ I'll fucking cut your dick off."
The two finally bumped into one another last night at the2011 MTV Video Music Awards, and while the two kept their distance, tensions mounted between the camps.
In a video captured backstage, Ross stands afar whileKreayshawn is planted near the camera. Her manager, Stretch, exchanged heated words with a member of the Maybach Music Group crew, only to have the confrontation broken up and Stretch removed from the scene. (hiphopdx.com)

Drake & Jadakiss Comment On Lil Wayne's Jay-Z Diss

A couple of days ago, a Lil Wayne track (It's Good) landed online off Tha Carter 4, and on Wayne's verse he throws some jabs at Jay-Z; responding to the lines on H.A.M where Jay-Z dissed Baby. On that same track, Drake and Jadakiss have come farward to comment on their appearnce on the track.

Below is what Drake had to say-

"I just got a beat and did a verse over it," Drake told MTV News from the red carpet for the BMI Urban Awards in L.A. on Friday before he accepted the award for Songwriter of the Year. "Whatever any other individual has to say, you have to ask the man himself. I just did what I know how to do. I just got on a record. I heard the beat, did a verse and heard the final product...At the end of the day, rap is an individual art -- You express yourself and whatever you wanna say, you say it, so I guess that's a question for Wayne more than me." (MTV)

People have been thinking that Drake and Jadakiss were in on it, but in this time and age, artists don't even get in the studio together again when they are making a song, they just send the beat back and forth. So, as long as Drake didn't have anything in his verse to make people think he was in on it, lets leve him out, and say this is just between Lil Wayne and Jay-Z.

Jadakiss also hit twitter to comment on the track-

"Yall hating a** c*cksuckers better chill..they only sent me a track wit NO verses and I recorded that verse 3 months ago! #leavemeoutofit"
"When I DISS n*ggas or have a problem Wit ANY RAPPER I SAY THere NAMES without hesitation and YALL know this already!"
"On my way back to NY,pardon the outburst but N*ggas Know Better! #anybodycangetit" (Jadakiss' Twitter)

I know Jadakiss is cool with Jay-Z and there was one time in the not too long past that he got signed to Roc-a-fella records, just before the whole Roc Nation movement, so i know he would definitely not be in on it. I guess Wayne choose a track to diss Jay-Z on, and he didn't think of what it would do to the character of the other rappers on the track.

Below are the lines from Wayne on the "It's Good" track-

"Talkin' 'bout baby money, I gotcha baby money," Wayne raps. "Kidnap your b*tch get that how much you love your lady money / I know you fake, n*gga / Press your brakes, n*gga / I'll take you out, that's a date, n*gga / I'm a grown a** blood, stop playing with me / Play a**hole, and get an a** whippin' / I think you pussycat, hello kitty." ("It's Good")

Lil Wayne's Carter 4 dropped today; let's hope this controversy helps propel the first week album sales to over a million copies.

Game Interview On The R.E.D Album And His Career

Game's The R.E.D Album dropped last week, Aug 23 to be precise, and it has almost completed one week in stores. In this interview, he gives fans an inner look at how R.E.D came about, and where he is heading to in his career.

Breaks Down The Making Of The R.E.D. Album

HipHopDX: The R.E.D. Album was a long time coming. How many different forms did it take over the two years it was being created?

Game: The R.E.D. Album  has been through a rollercoaster – it’s been ups, it’s been downs, it’s been release dates, it’s been pushbacks – but through it all I think I’ve been working the whole time. Man sometimes I had to be a father, other times I had to go on tour, I had to help with [Dr. Dre's] Detox, I had to do The R.E.D. Album, and I had to stay afloat trying to perfect and put out Purp & Patron   so you know life goes on in between. All the time people feel like they are waiting and waiting and waiting, but I have a life too, you know what I’m saying? In life things happen that sort of render your health sometimes and you either have to halt the process and go in the studio for a week or go on tour for a month to keep the bills paid so that’s what happens. But, through it all I maintained my focus, which was getting the project out and making sure that it was classic. I think at this point, I think I really outdid myself.

DX: Waiting played into your favor; especially with some of the collaborations you have on the album like Kendrick Lamar and Tyler the Creator. They might have not been around a few years ago had you put out the album then.

Game: I think about that all the time. I think if we would have went with Justin Timberlake and a Pharrell single, just think of how many people wouldn’t have been on the album. So with that being said, everything that happened with the album, it benefited in my favor at the end of the day because I have the best album, period. From Tyler, the Creator to [Lil] Wayne to Drake to Dr. Dre and Pharrell, I think I’m the only Hip Hop artist that could have featured Dr. Dre and Drake on the same album or Pharrell, Wayne, Tyler, the Creator, Nelly Furtado, Beanie [Sigel], Rick Ross, everyone on the album, Wale, Mario. I put together the best possible album in this climate that I possibly could.

Game Explains His Feeling On Friends Being Cool With 50 Cent & Jay-Z

DX: For better or for worse, you seem to make a lot of noise in Hip Hop. With this, you have created relationships with artists and it has made it possible to have all of them on the album. How are you cool with the people on your project when they might be cool with people you aren’t cool with?

Game: People can be cool with whoever they want to be cool with. If you’re cool with me, you can be cool with [Jay-Z] or you can be cool with 50 [Cent]. I don’t care, that’s you and your personal thing, and your personal relationships have nothing to do with me. I’m not going to dictate who is friends with who. That’s what 50 tried to do once with me. I didn’t want to part ways for the love I have with Nas and Jadakiss’ music and that ended and it ultimately led to the fall of G-Unit, but I’m not that guy…but you know. You can fuck with whoever you wanna be cool with as long as I’m cool with the people I’m cool with and I’m fine with that.

DX: How did you go about picking the final tracks for the album?

Game: I didn’t do it alone; I did it with my peers and the label and the A&Rs. It was a long battle, but we worked it out and that’s the craziest part about doing complete albums. Once you get to start picking the tracks out, then you’ve got to sequence them and that shit is like pulling baby teeth, man. Some songs go and you’ve got to wish them farewell. They’ll probably go on the mixtape or go in the vault; you know it’s a sad process. I never want to knock songs off or not put all the songs on that I worked on for the album. You’ve got to get it down to 12, but still every time they tell me they be like, “Game they’re only 12 songs” because they do the 10-for-10, but I don’t know for some reason they love me, so I keep coming in at 17,18.

DX: That’s what it is for this project?

Game: Yeah it was more money, I think, too. Three or four hundred grand for this one

DX: Seems like you’re putting the project first

Game: It’s just…it’s my music. It’s what I started off wanting to do and that’s what I’m going to continue to do.

DX: Dre’s is narrating the album. How did that happen?

Game: Number one, I think it’s dope that I got him to do that. I wrote everything he said. I wrote it myself and to get Dr. Dre to say anything, it could be 10, 12 years you know what I’m saying? But, he trusted me and it was the truth and so he’s basically narrating through the album a little bit about my life and how it pertains to the song before and after.

DX: In your AllHipHop interview you said you want people to think you’re crazy. How does that prove positive or negative for you?

Game: I don’t really care. I’m not really trying to prove anything to anybody these days. I’m just kind of going through life and doing me. I think that critics, haters and people that always have something to say about Game only understand what I mean to Hip Hop until it’s all really said and done. No matter what you say about me. I’m not saying I don’t start no beefs, I’m talking about the folks that are on Twitter and they got the little arrow that says, “Big Sean would kill The Game.” I look at that and nothing to Big Sean or anything, but that’s how simple-minded Hip Hop fans are these days. New artists, just because you come out and you’re fresh and you’re new, you wanna disrespect someone who is iconic and paved the way for artists like Big Sean? But to each his own man. At the end of the day I’m judged depending on the person and I don’t care either way.

DX: When you jumped in the middle of Tyler, the Creator’s and Chris Brown’s beef and said it’s not worth it. Is that because you worked with both of them?

Game: Well that, and the fact that I know them both personally. Chris [Brown] is a real dear friend of mine, my lil' homie and I’ve been talking to him ever since the Rihanna mishap and I tried to get him back into the limelight, and he made it so I didn’t want to see himself get knocked down again. With Tyler [the, Creator, Odd Future is] a new group and they’ve got a big cult following. A lot of people love Odd Future. A lot of these kids just want to see them and have their chance of being legends and so I don’t wanna see either of them getting hurt. That whole beef took place in L.A. and once I got a call and it got down to the street level you know what I’m saying, I had to step in, utilize my resources and kind of put it to bed.

DX: It seems like you know when to cut beefs off. What do you consider as your barometer for something like that?

Game: I work off of how I feel at the moment. That’s why everyone thinks, “Oh, Game is wack, oh he changes his mind.” No, we all change our mind that’s why we we’re just in the spotlight and so you can get locked on to my decisions and me being very opinionated, but if I’m feeling a certain way, that’s just how I’m feeling. I’ll be very vocal about it. If I don’t feel the same way tomorrow, I will say that. Somebody might say I’m bipolar because I always change my mind and I am and so if my bipolar is attacked then fuck it, that’s me.

DX: Seems like everyone is bipolar now.

Game: Bipolar is the new "swag." [Laughs]

DX: Now on “Pot of Gold” you said you’ll give Interscope two more albums and then you’re done for good. Then there’s talk about you going to Cash Money, but did you mean done with the industry or just done with Interscope?

Game: To be totally honest, I don’t even know what I meant when I said that. I think that that shit rhymed and so I needed it and it could have been true and it might be true. But it’s in the future, so I’ve got time to decide if I want that line to really be true or make sense or I could refute it. I think when I wrote that it just rhymed, because they’re ain’t much shit that rhyme with “hood.” I think that “leave the hood” was the bar before that so I needed “good.”

Game Explains Next Album, Potential Cash Money Deal

DX: So Cash Money is still an option, right?

Game: Anywhere is still an option. That’s still in the future and once I get to that bridge I am going to cross it, but I got a long way to go. I’ve got a whole other album that will take two-and-a-half years and if it does, I’ll be 33 and I probably won’t wanna rap. I’ll probably be elevating myself to the next level of entertainment which is movies, acting or step behind the scenes and do something with a label or get a position at a label, you never know.

DX: The day you become a free agent, people will be chasing after you.

Game: Yeah they are already chasing.

DX: Who in the next generation of artists that you have either seen or have worked with do you see as the next big one?

Game: Personally, and people may not agree, but I like Meek Mill. I like him a lot. I think he [has] got a tremendous amount of room for growth. I listen to him, I listen to his freestyles. I listen to him when he is writing real songs and he is good at that and so that’s the dude that I’m gonna chant as far as the East Coast is concerned. And in the West, it’s gotta be Kendrick Lamar.

DX: Do you see yourself in any of these new rappers?

Game: Nope. They’re not as handsome as me. They’re not as tall as me. They’re not as lyrically insane as me. Nah, they cool.

DX: Tell me about Kid Red…

Game: Kid Red is the biggest star without a song on the Internet. And the reason he hasn’t released that is because he is still trying to find his style. What I’m advising him to do is not get locked into a certain style, because Hip Hop changes everyday.
So until then I got him listening to old, listening to new. I’ve got him around when I’m doing interviews, I’ve got him around when I’m on 106 & Park, when I’m on MTV, when we go to parties, when we in clubs, when we’re flying, when we’re doing shows so that he’s well rounded. Once he really decides to lock down on a style, he’s going to present himself to the world that he’s well traveled and relies on Hip Hop in general and how it works, so he’s a lot more comfortable and he can get a better start.

DX: You put on Twitter a few months ago that “We don’t work with Nu JerZy Devil.” He’s no longer part of Black Wall Street but he’s still repping R.E.D. What’s with that?

Game: No I had to refute that and take it back. What happened was he got caught up with some jenky promoters. And what they did was [against] my livelihood, my children, taking care of my family and he fucked up. Sp he spent everyday since then repaying that debt, but he was one of the first members of Black Wall Street and he also was a friend of mine and so I had to bring the axe down to show him that I was serious. It could have been something that could have lasted a long time, but he did what he could to make it right and did his thing.

DX: What was it like working with Lex Luger on the album?

Game: Lex Luger’s dope. He’s the next best Hip Hop producer. He along with Boi-1da and Mars are three of my favorite new artists. Boi-1da, you know what you’re going to get with him. It’s going to hit and it’s going to hit hard. Shout out to him and everything he doing.

DX: How did you get Nelly Furtado on the album?

Game: That was Pharrell. Pharrell had a relationship with Nelly and he thought that she would sound crazy on the hook [to “Mama Knows”] so he did that, and it reminds me of Janet Jackson. Like she sounds like Janet Jackson on that song and every time I hear it, nobody can really sing in that cadence and you gotta be real special and who’s better than Nelly Furtado?

DX: How has fatherhood affected your artistry?

Game: It takes a lot to be a good father, and it also takes away from the music. You know I spend a lot of time with my kids and that’s time I spend away from Hip Hop, but Hip Hop weighing against my children, it doesn’t weigh at all so I got to be a dad first and that’s never going to change. The next album might be a year, might be two, might be six months, but my kids are going to get their time in and that’s where I need to be.

DX: It seems like you always have a good paternal or big brother instinct the way you take people under your wing. What inspires you to do this?
Game: I’m just a good dude. I love people that I see promise in that I can help. If I can’t help you, I can’t help everyone.

DX: Are you getting the feeling that you want to retire at any point soon?

Game: Nah that’s what R.E.D. is all about. It’s about a rededication to myself, to Hip Hop, to fans, to life, to my family, my girl. I’m just trying to be the best I can in just everything I’m doing so I’m here in Hip Hop as long as they’ll have me. So the bipolar in me might change his mind tomorrow. [Laughs]

DX: Any new concepts for the next album?

Game: I think I got the title for the next album already yesterday from a good friend of mine, Shaheem Reid. We were talking and he said something that stuck in my mind, of course I won’t say what it is, R.E.D. ain’t even in stores yet, but I’m going to play around with the idea. I am going to see if it’s something that I can accomplish, because the title itself is going to be something conceptual and every need is going to have to be met for the music to meet the title. DMX Talks About Aaliyah

On Aug 25, 2001, 10 years ago, r&b singer Aaliyah had just finished filming the video of her "Rock The Boat" single in The Bahamas, and she and her crew decided to travel back to the States immidiately, instead of waiting till the next day. The whole crew, including Aaliyah, boarded a Cessna 402 with all their equipments, instead of the 404 Cessna they had flown in from The States. Minutes after take-off at just 200 feet, the plane crashed because it was over its maximum takeoff weight by 320kg. DMX and Aaliyah were close, and he remembers Aaliyah in a recent interview-

...X was interviewed on BET's 106 and Park, honoring the singer on the 10-year anniversary of her death.
When asked about his fondest memory of Aaliyah, DMX recalled, "It was one of the awards shows out in L.A. that we went to together. Me, her, and her brother, actually. Up until then, I had never went to any award show with anyone but my wife. I rented the convertible, Rolls Royce, and I just made the movie, you know? We had a good time."
Describing Aaliyah as talented and an "angel," X revealed a special tribute to the singer: the rapper named his youngest daughter Aaliyah.
"This is Aaliyah," said X, showing his daughter to fans. "That's how special she was to me."
"Know that you're named after an angel," added the Yonkers emcee, speaking to his daughter.

Men!!! I ain't gonna lie, out of all the celebrities that passed in the last 3 decades, Aaliyah's death got to me the most. Imagine how she must have felt just before she died...autopsy showed that she suffered severe shock. DMX and Aaliyah must have gotten close from the set of "Romeo Must Die". May her soul rest in peace.

Baby Says They Are Pushing For A Million First Week Sales For Carter 4

Lil Wayne's Carter 4 drops tomorrow (29 Aug), but the digital copy would be officially available for download by mindnight today. Cash Money C.E.O, Brian "Baby" Williams has come forward to say they are pushing for the Carter 4 to sell a million copies in its first week. Carter 3 did that in 2008, but i do not know if this one can do that. But, that is just my opinion, i do not know what kind of marketing baby got going.

Below is what Baby had to say about Carter 4's first week sales-

Cash Money delivered Carter IV to Universal about 10 days in advance, which Williams says was necessary to press the two million units being shipped in its first week. "The goal is to sell a million-plus copies," he explains. Although that's likely what led to Carter IV breaking free, Williams says he's actually OK with leaks, to a point. "I can deal with it for short period of time," he says. It's when you have a leak out for a long time that it's crazy." (Rolling Stone)

So, they are shipping out 2 million copies in the first week? That is a lot. Men! I love baby's work ethics. That is a clever move, because the more cd's out there, the higher the possibilities of him selling a million first week. There wouldn't  be any stores that run out of stock on Carter 4. Wayne has a huge following, and you can see that from views on his videos on youtube, and also his recent projects. He released an EP of about 12 tracks last year, I Am Not A Human Being, and it sold 110,000 copies in its first week, and ended up going Plat. If wayne can sell 110,000 with an EP that was released while he was in jail, then i think he can sell at least 600,000 copies of his Carter 4 album.

I think he should be able to sell 600k easily, but i don't know, he could sell more than that. I know he has a lot of die-hard fans...i know that from the traffic that comes to my blog daily, and what they searched on google to get them to my blog. The projections for the first week sales will come in on Wednesday evening, so we just have to wait till them. But i know this project is going to be big.

Lil Wayne Jay-Z Beef: Wayne Says Their Would Be No Repercussions

A track off Lil Wayne's Carter 4 album, It's Good, has created a matter of discussion in the hip hop community- i guess it is official now, there is a Lil Wayne and Jay-Z Beef, and Wayne has come forward to say their would be no repercussions for his actions. On the track (which also features Drake and Jadakiss), he throws shots at Jay-Z in reply to Jay going at Baby earlier this year.

Below is what Wayne had to say about the diss-

"I know there won't be any repercussions behind what I did," says a confident Wayne when asked if he had second thoughts about recording his acidic verse for 'It 's Good.' "I know for a fact music is about perception. You can't do anything but perceive what you hear. I know that for a fact. So I can't ever be upset about someone's reaction." Wayne added that while he understands the intrigue and buzz behind the record, it's just another song. "I'm not going to say I don't know what would happen before I even say [something on record]," he explains. "I do know what will happen. I'm aware of it. But it is what it is." (VIBE)

I don't like negativity, but i think beef sometimes brings out the best in the two parties involved. But the question is; will Jay-Z reply this? And how soon will it be. People are saying jay needs to address the issue, but jay might say that wayne isn't on his level...by level, i mean his generation. Of cos jay is still popping now, but the rappers that are in his category, and i am not talking about the money they got, are Raekwon, Nas, Fat Joe, Methodman...

I can't really predict how jay would reply to this because wayne crossed the line a little by bringing Beyonce into it. Below are the lines from lil wayne to jay-

And when lil wayne says their would be no repercussions, does he mean that he knows Jay-Z would not reply, or that he would never, in the future, regret what he said and take his words back? Hmm!

Below are the lines from Jay-Z (Off H.A.M; a track that was meant to make Watch The Throne) that started everything-

"I'm like really half a billi n****, really you got Baby money/ Keep it real with n****s, n****s ain't got my lady money."

Eminem, The King Of Hip Hop? Artists React

Rolling Stone magazine crowned Eminem the King of Hip Hop last month, and it has gotten some people talking. Okay, i am one of them, so i would go first. By the way, i am an artist too, so i fit in. My opinion is that i think Eminem is great with the word-play, and his delivery is crazy, but if you want to look at what hip hop stands for, i don't think you can actually crown him the King. I think Nas is the Best Rapper Alive, but based on achievements, and fame and all that, i would give Jay-Z the crown instead.

Below is what Rolling Stone based their judgment on-

The magazine ranked 20 solo rappers, including Drake, Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Rick Ross, Snoop Dogg and more. The publication looked at album sales, social media presence, YouTube page views, concert grosses, industry awards, critics' ratings and more. Em, who was the world's best-selling musical artist of the first decade of the 2000s with more than 32 million albums sold, had 7.5 million in album sales during the period Rolling Stone examined, more than 1.3 billion YouTube views and 48 million Twitter and Facebook followers. That was enough to land him ahead of Lil Wayne (No. 2) and Drake (No. 3), though Rolling Stone cited Drake as the artist to watch in the year ahead. (Detroit Free Press)

From this, it is clear that they didn't even look at lyrics, and flow, and the art of story telling, and longevity. Anyway, this is just me talking, but i know i speak for a lot of people. I have been a rap enthusiast since the early 90s, so i have the right to speak.
Below is what Benzino (Co-Founder of The Source Magazine) had to say-
"It's a big thing to say he's the King of Hip Hop and I basically predicted this. Don't [people] realize by saying he's King that it leaves a long lasting impression on these kids and that it's f*ckin' up Hip Hop? If everything is about lyrics, well dude's nice. But guess what? I'm nice too and there's a whole lotta other nice n*ggas out there too. How is [Rolling Stone] judgin' everybody? Is it by lyrics? By songs? Because I don't think anyone out there rides around bangin' Eminem in the hood. How is he gonna go in on every pop artist back in the day and now he's the most pop artist out?" (SOHH Guest Star)

I think i feel what Benzino is saying, but it is really a tough argument, because Eminem is nice, and he bamboozles people with his word-play, and delivery; people feel more of how he rides the beat, and delivers breathless verses, than his actual lyrics. Not saying he is not lyrical, but they are def more lyrical rappers out there. I can remember a couple of years back, when Relapse dropped, my friend and i decided to sit down and actually listen to eminem, and weigh his lyrics. Of cos he says some morbid crazy shit, but the bulk of the other things he say's are just every day things, but the way he says what he says...his WORDPLAY is his main strength. Yeah, and his album sales are crazy...Platinum...Diamond selling artist. And he is very very famous and infamous at the same time...he has that spotlight shinning on him.

Royce Da 5'9 is another rapper that can flip it like Eminem, and after a couple of weeks of listening to their Bad Meets Evil EP, i found out that i was always waiting for Royce to come on, because he actually spat more "quality" lyrics than em. Please, don't forget, this are my opinions, and you do not have to take them seriously. And one more thing, i am an Eminem fan.

Check out what Skyler Grey had to say about Rolling Stone crowning Eminem the King of Hip Hop-

"Eminem is my favorite rapper, but I don't know why you have to crown a 'King of Hip-Hop,'" she explained in an interview. "There are a lot of good rappers out there. But he's my favorite." (VIBE)

By the way, Skyler Grey was featured on Dr Dre and Eminem's "I Need A Doctor" track, and on Lupe Fiasco's "Words I Never Said" track

Carter 4 First Week Sales Prediction

Tha Carter IV [Deluxe Edition]Lil Wayne's Carter 4 album is dropping Monday, Aug 29, but it would be available for download on iTunes at midnight of the 28th. I would try to predict what it would sell in its first week, like I have been doing with other albums that have been dropping this year. This is a huge project, but I doubt it would sell like the last Carter (Tha Carter 3), which sold 1,005,545 in its first week.

Rebirth (2010), the rock album he dropped last year sold 176,000 copies in its first week; and I Am Not A Human Being, the EP he also dropped last year sold 110,000 copies in its first week. If I was to predict what Tha Carter 4 would sell, based on his presence in the rap game right now, I would say between 350-550k first week. That's it. We would have to wait till next week to see how on-point I am.

Lil Wayne Disses Jay-Z On Carter 4

Carter 4 is Lil Wayne's 7th solo rap album, and it is due to be released next week Monday (although it has already leaked on the internet), Aug 29th. Anticipating fans have more to look forward to, as it is now clear that Wayne disses Jay-Z on one of the tracks (It's Good) off the album. Earlier this year, Jay-Z dissed Baby (cofounder of cash money records, and father-figure to lil wayne) on H.A.M, a track that was meant to be on the just released Watch The Throne album.

Here are some of the lines from wayne to jay-z below-

"Talkin' 'bout baby money, I gotcha baby money," Wayne raps. "Kidnap your b*tch get that how much you love your lady money / I know you fake, n*gga / Press your brakes, n*gga / I'll take you out, that's a date, n*gga / I'm a grown a** blood, stop playing with me / Play a**hole, and get an a** whippin' / I think you pussycat, hello kitty." ("It's Good")

This obviously a direct response to jay's line- "I'm like really half a billi n****, really you got Baby money/ Keep it real with n****s, n****s ain't got my lady money." The "niggas ain't got my lady money" part is jay saying that they don't even have 'Beyonce type money'. And the reason why Jay-Z dropped this lines in the first place was because Baby said it at an interview that none of his peers (Jay-Z, P.Diddy, J.D...) make the kind of money he make off music.

Earlier in March, Wayne had already said he would respond to jay's lines, so doing it on a track on his Carter 4 album just make more sense, for promo preferences.Below is what Lil Wayne said about the Jay-Z line aimed at Baby in March-

According to Weezy, who heard the track personally throughKanye West, he isn't looking to start another competition with Jay. Wayne told MTV News that he didn't ask 'Ye about the alleged dig: "I wouldn't ask him about a Jay-Z line because he's not Jay-Z." That doesn't mean Wayne wouldn't respond to the line, even if he hasn't returned fire just yet. "Me and my wit, given my wit, I would probably play off of it," Wayne explained. "But I wouldn't make it a competition, because actually, the subject that he's talking about in that line, I can't box with the card. I'd be the first one to tell you that, given my wit, and the type of person that I am, I'd capitalize and I'd play off of it. Yeah, I definitely would." (MTV)

I know Lil Wayne was throwing shots at Jay-Z around 2007, but when Carter 3 dropped, who is the first feature on the album? Jay-Z; on the "Mr Carter" track. Sometimes i just feel all these disses are just a way of getting attention; or maybe they don't really take the disses personal.
